Man’s best friend. A canine buddy. That’s right, there are dogs in Ghostwire Tokyo, and even better news, you can pet them and get yourself the trophy ‘Animal Lover’ in the process. Here’s how to pet dogs in Ghostwire Tokyo and make yourself friendos for life.

Petting the Dogs in Ghostwire Tokyo

When you want to give that good doggo a pet, you can do so by walking over to it and pressing square to activate Spectral Vision, then L2 to pet. This will cause you to bend down and give the good boi/ gal a good bit of fuss before you carry on bustin’ spirits and saving the entirety of Tokyo.

Does Petting the Dog Do Anything?

Not really, no, outside of making you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. There’s no gameplay advantage to petting the dog in Ghostwire Tokyo, but there is an ‘Animal Lover’ trophy that you’ll get for petting an animal in the game.

However, if you feed a dog with dog food, purchased from the bodega cat vendors around the world, you’ll get some help back in return.

Feeding Dogs in Ghostwire Tokyo

Once you’ve purchased some dog food from the bodega cat vendors with Meika, return to one of your four-legged friends and you’ll get a solid return on your investment, as the puppers digs up a significant amount of Meika (or XP) after you follow it.
