Ghost Recon Wildlands: How to Get a Helicopter

Obtaining a Helicopter – Ghost Recon Wildlands

Recommended Videos

There are a lot of ways to explore the vast countryside of Bolivia, as Ghost Team can effectively steal, drive, or fly any vehicle they come across. However, one of the best ways to move around this map is via a helicopter as it offers both decent firepower and enough mobility to chase after Santa Blanca convoys. Helicopters come in two distinct variants in Ghost Recon Wildlands: military and commercial, with the latter being the most common found throughout the various regions.

If you are looking for one of these vehicles, then you can either check the local airports like the one found in Barvechos or large Santa Blanca compounds. There is also a chance you can find a smaller helicopter at either a Rebel or enemy outpost. We don’t recommend trying to steal a helicopter from Unidad, as this will raise their alert level and it can be more of a headache to deal with. Remember, not all helicopters in Ghost Recon Wildlands come equipped with weapons, so you might just end up using them to get a nice vantage point on your enemies.

Using this aircraft is a fantastic way to get behind a heavily fortified frontline, as many Santa Blanca bases are not as well defended in the side or back. Flying a helicopter can be a bit tricky, so try to always have the front end pointed a bit forward so you can pick up momentum. When trying to land, just lightly tap with right trigger so you can gracefully line up the base with solid ground. With a bit of practice, you will be ruling the skies of Bolivia in no time.
