Turning on the Radio in Fortnite

First things first, you’ll need to make sure that you’re in a car, helicopter, or boat. Any of these vehicles will allow you to listen to Fortnite’s radio.

These are dotted all over the Battle Royale island, so it shouldn’t take you too long to find one. Keep in mind that some may have wheel clamps on them. These cannot be driven, and can only be harvested for metal with your pick axe.

Once you’ve found a vehicle, hop inside. You can turn on the radio in Fortnite by pressing up on the d-pad on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. If you want to turn it off at any point, you can do so by pressing up on the d-pad again.

To change radio station, press A on Xbox One, X on PS4, or B on Switch.

Licensed Songs on Fortnite’s Radio

There are a handful of licensed songs you’ll be able to listen to when you’re driving around, from Travis Scott to Drake. These appear to mainly be played on the Beat Box radio station. We’ve listed all radio stations in the game down below:

  • Beat Box
  • Party Royale
  • Power Play
  • Radio Yonder

Both Beat Box and Party Royale radios tend to play real-life music from your favorite artists, where Power Play and Radio Yonder are more suited to typical Fortnite tunes.

As and when we learn more about Fortnite’s Radio, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.
