Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ignis Release Date

Final Fantasy XV’s first and second character DLCs are already out, allowing players to jump into the shoes of both Gladio and Prompto respectively. The Episode Gladio DLC features a brand new story set within the main game of Final Fantasy XV, as Gladio explores ancient ruins to obtain more power in his quest to protect Noctis.

With the episode now out, fans will no doubt be wondering when we can expect the DLC for other characters, like Ignis. At the moment we currently only have a release window of December for Episode Ignis, but not a firm date. We don’t really have any details on when Episode Ignis could take place, or what kind of gameplay we might see. However, Final Fantasy XV Director Hajime Tabata told DualShockers that the episode was planned to be the last to release because of the major impact it would have on the game’s story.

If Episode Gladio is any indication, Ignis’ DLC will have gameplay systems that match the character, as Gladio’s gameplay is much more action-oriented than the main game.
