How to Skip Cutscenes in Far Cry 5

Recommended Videos

Far Cry 5 is the fifth main entry in Ubisoft’s first-person shooter series, and this one takes you to the fictional town of Hope County in Montana. The single-player campaign is pretty lengthy, and you can be sure that you’ll be bombarded with tons of cutscenes and various conversations with in-game NPCs.

If you’re hoping to skip these story cutscenes in Far Cry 5, we have some good and bad news for you. The bad news is that most cutscenes, especially the pre-rendered ones, can’t be skipped at all. This means that you have to sit through them every time, even if you die in the game and reload a checkpoint. In cases like these, all you can do is wait till they’re over. Maybe get yourself a drink in the meantime.

On the other hand, most in-game cutscenes and conversations with NPCs in Far Cry 5 can indeed be skipped. When engaged in conversation, press any button on your controller and you should see a prompt in the bottom right corner of the screen, letting you know that you can skip the cutscene. When this pops up, press and hold the circle button (or the B button if you’re on Xbox One) to skip that segment.
