How to Open Safes in Far Cry 5

Recommended Videos

Just as you’d expect, safes contain some valuable stuff in Far Cry 5. Whether it’s straight cash or some crafting materials to help you make some explosives, it’s always well worth your time to crack one open. Unfortunately, they’re not the easiest of things to get into (who’d have guessed), but you do have a few methods at your disposal.

First, if you want to open safes in a loud and unsubtle manner, you can throw some sort of explosives and detonate blow them open from afar. Don’t worry, though, because despite obliterating the actual safe, its contents miraculously remain intact.

If you’d rather be a little quieter when opening safes in Far Cry 5, you’ll want to invest in either the Lockpick or Repair Torch perks you can unlock. The Lockpick perk will grant you the option to simply head over to a safe and press Square (or X on Xbox One) to open it right up. The Repair Torch, on the other hand, will prompt you to use it when nearby a torch by using Square or X again. Then, use R2 on the front of the safe until it pops right open.

That’s all you need to know to open safes in Far Cry 5. For more on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
