Fallout 76: Where to Find Strangler Bloom

Where to Find Strangler Bloom

Recommended Videos

Strangler Blooms are needed to craft RadShields, and are also necessary for completing the quest An Organic Solution. Here’s where you need to know to track down these elusive plants in Fallout 76.

First, What They Look Like

Strangler Blooms can be somewhat easy to miss if you don’t know what you’re looking for. The plant is about the size and shape of a lightning bug– it actually looks like one too, due to the glowing tendrils that jut out of its top. This glow can also make it easier to track down Strangler Blooms at night.

Where to Find Strangler Blooms

You can find Strangler Blooms along the portion of the river that runs near the Dyer Chemical plant. The blooms can be found attached to vines or tree trunks, and will glow irradiated green out of their top. There are treacherous enemies that inhabit the mire, particularly Gulpers down by the river, so watch out.

An Organic Solution

A great time to find Strangler Blooms is during the quest “An Organic Solution” as the quest requires you to find the plant, and actually has you complete a task that encourages its growth. One of the final phases of An Organic Solution is to flush chemicals and fertilizer into the river near the Dyer plant. This turns the bulbs to Strangler Blooms, and it’s harvest time!

Need More Strangler Blooms?

So you completed An Organic Solution, harvested some blooms, and now they’re all gone and not re-spawning? Yeah, this has been happening to a lot of people. The best course of action is to take advantage of a public event in the Mire called “Heart of the Swamp”. This event will ask you to take down a Strangler Heart, but it will also spawn more Strangler Blooms in their usual area to the west of Dyer Chemical.
