Nuka-Nuke Launcher – Fallout 4: Nuka-World

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD

The Nuka-Nuke Launcher is actually a unique Fat-Man Modification, not actually a weapon. However, you can only find one of these in the entire game, and although you find schematics alongside it, you can’t craft another one, so in a sense this as a Fallout 4 unique weapon. It’s an optional reward for completing the Cappy in a Haystack quest which tasks the player with locating 10 Hidden Cappy symbols. If you’re having trouble with that, don’t worry, we’ve taken care of it for you.

Once you have all 10, head back to Sierra, the woman who gave you the quest (she also happens to be a popular NPC from Fallout 3). She’ll figure out the code which will grant you access to the office of John-Caleb Bradberton, the creator of Nuka-Cola. Head all the way upstairs and check behind the Nuka-Cola machine in the corner to find a red button that will open up a secret elevator. Take this secret elevator down to a secret vault and make your way through.

Here you’ll find the living head of John-Caleb Bradberton. He’ll offer you access to a secret vault if you agree to kill him by turning off the power. This is where the “optional” nature of this reward comes into play. Sierra idolizes this man and wants you to let him live. In exchange, she offers you the Nuka-World Jumpsuit. If you agree to her terms the quest ends and you instantly get the suit, or you can not agree, flip the switch, and then have to deal with her hostility.

You can, of course, get both rewards, though. Agree to her terms, end the quest, then flip the switch anyway to unlock the vault. She’ll become hostile, but you can easily take her down. Inside the Vault, you’ll find the Nuka-Nuke Launcher, Nuka-Nuke Schematics, and the recipe for Nuka-Cola. Take them all and you’re set to go.

Keep in mind that the Nuka-Nuke Schematics don’t let you build the weapon, but rather the ammunition it fires. You’ll need one Mini-Nuke and one bottle of Nuka-Cola Quantum to craft these new nukes. It’s definitely worth it because this new weapon form does 200 more base damage, and explodes in a bright blue flame. Lovely.

Have fun blowing everything up in Fallout 4: Nuka-World.
