Broly’s Initiation Test For Mentor Master Quest

Recommended Videos

Broly is the powerful, Legendary Super Saiyan that you may remember from when he went berserk and put the beats on all of your favorite Z-Fighters. He’s a formidable warrior and he has some really powerful abilities that you can learn. In order to obtain him as an instructor, you must first beat him in the story, which comes after the Buu Saga in the game. After that, you’ll find him hovering in the skies slightly behind the time machine (where you accept Parallel Quests). You also need to be God Class rank, so you may need to take a few exams. When you find Broly in the sky, interact with him and he’ll challenge you to a fight. Beat him and he’ll just remark about how he’s waiting for Kakarot (Goku).

Now to get him to actually teach you, you’ll have to leave Conton City. I found that entering the character select screen for a Parallel Quest then exiting out worked instantly. He’ll now be found standing on one of the giant mushrooms to the north of the map where you can talk to him and prove your worth with Broly’s Initiation Test.

All you have to do is use the Blaster Shell ability a few times and lower Broly’s health. It’s a Ki super that fires a few green energy blasts at your opponent. Tapping the assigned button makes them fire more quickly.

For completing this you get:

  • 100 Zeni
  • Blaster Shell

Once done, you now have a powerful warrior willing to teach you some powerful abilities. Keep in mind that if you’re not able to progress in the lessons, it means you need to progress in your advancement tests at the school (lower left-hand corner of the map).

Lesson 1 in Broly Mentor Master Quest: Blaster Meteor in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

For your first real lesson with Broly, you’ll have to use his Blaster Meteor evasive skill while fighting him and Janemba. It summons an aura around you that sends multiple energy blasts in all directions. You don’t have to beat your opponents with the move, but you do have to connect it at least once. After that, just beat them both up and it’s over. They aren’t difficult at all, but the fact that you have none of your ultimate abilities may add a bit of time to the fight.

After completing the first lesson you get:

  • 200 Zeni
  • Blaster Meteor

You’re ready for the next lesson.

Lesson 2 in Broly Mentor Master Quest: Gigantic Omega in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Broly’s second lesson for you will teach you his Gigantic Omega melee ability. It’s a short range melee rush that finishes with a huge Ki blast. You’ll have to actually beat Broly with the move, but like all the mentor quests in a similar vein, it isn’t difficult at all. Just wear him down and then when he’s locked to his last sliver of health, use the ability.

After completing this lesson you get:

  • 300 Zeni
  • Gigantic Omega

It’s time to learn the Legendary Super Saiyan’s ultimate attack.

Lesson 3 in Broly Mentor Master Quest: Gigantic Meteor in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Gigantic Meteor is Broly’s ultimate attack, and to unlock it as part of your own personal arsenal, you’re going to have to defeat the Legendary Super Saiyan using his own ability. It creates a sort of link between two Ki Blasts that decimates anyone caught in between.

For completing this final challenge you get:

  • 400 Zeni
  • Gigantic Meteor
