How to Unlock All Hunter Subclasses in Destiny 2

Recommended Videos

For Destiny 2, Bungie decided to one up the original game’s offerings of launch subclasses by providing three different ones players can obtain, one for each of the three burns (Solar, Arc, and Void). For the Hunter, that means one brand-new offering, and two returning classic subclasses. You have the Arcstrider, the Gunslinger, and the Nightstalker. Each can be unlocked and switched between so you’re ready for whatever threat the Red Legion or other denizens of the darkness may throw at you.

Unlocking All Hunter Subclasses in Destiny 2

Arcstrider – This is the first of the Hunter subclasses you’ll gain access to after the opening mission. After losing your light, Destiny 2’s story will guide you to a Shard of the Traveler where you’ll use the super to kill a ton of enemies and then gain full access. Gunslinger – Although this is the class you use during the opening mission of Destiny 2, you lose it once the mission is over. You can get it back, though, by first finding the Melted Hand Cannon relic during Public Events. Once it drops, charge it up by killing enemies and doing other activities. You’ll be called once again to the Shard of the Traveler to give some aliens their comeuppance. Nightstalker – The final of the Hunter subclasses you’ll unlock is the Nightstalker, one of the best subclasses in the game. You’ll need to obtain the Fractured Arrow relic in the same way you got the last one. Everything else is the same except that the Shard of the Traveler segment is much longer. Either way, when you’re done you’ll be firing void arrows at many enemies’ faces. Check out our wiki guide for more on Destiny 2.
