How to Get the Starfire Protocol Exotic Warlock Chest Armor in Destiny 2

Recommended Videos

The Starfire Protocol exotic Warlock chest armor is yet another piece of gear in Destiny 2 that is returning from the first game. As the name probably already implied to you, this particular piece is geared towards Dawnblade Warlocks thanks to its intrinsic perk:

  • Fusion Harness – Provides an additional Fusion Grenade charge. Fusion Grenade kills grant Rift energy.

The dual grenades are always a bonus, but having them also help to charge up your rift is quite useful in both PvE and PvP. For those not in the know, the Warlock’s Rift ability allows them to either heal themselves and allies or boost the damage of any allies that step into the Rift. It’s quite useful in tight situations and provides the Warlock with more support ability.

The only problem is that there is no guaranteed way to get the Starfire Protocol to drop in Destiny 2. Since it’s not tied to any particular quest or offered as an option during the story, you’ll need to rely simply on grinding and luck. You can get exotics from exotic engrams and sometimes legendary engrams. There are a few ways to obtain these special engrams, as well as ways to earn exotics as possible rewards:

  • Heroic Public Events (standard ones work, too, just not as well)
  • Crucible
  • Vanguard Strike Playlist
  • Call to Arms
  • Flashpoint
  • Nightfall
  • Clan XP Weekly Milestone
  • Raid

Each of the above offer a chance at an exotic, so make use of them and hopefully, you’ll get the exotic you’re looking for. For more on Destiny 2, make sure to check out our wiki.
