Darksiders Genesis, the top-down spin-off of the popular series, recently released on Stadia and PC, and you take on challenging missions and intense boss fights. In case you’re struggling or finding it too easy, here’s everything you need to know about how to change difficulty in Darksiders Genesis.

With the game being broken down into individual chapters, some of which are nothing more than boss fights, you might find some sections more challenging than others. Thankfully, you can change difficulty pretty regularly and easily.

How to Change Difficulty in Darksiders Genesis

You will be able to change the difficulty at the beginning of every chapter. When you start it, the option to choose between the three base difficulty options will come up.

You will see the button you need to press to change it in the top right corner of the screen, with it being Y/triangle if you’re using a controller.

The three options are: Casual, Normal, and Hard, so just select which one you want and the chapter will start.

Also, once you’ve beaten the game, another difficulty will unlock, adding a further level of challenge. That difficulty is called Apocalyptic, and isn’t for the faint of heart.
