How to Commend a Fellow Soldier in CoD WW2

Recommended Videos

When you’re just starting out in the online multiplayer portion of CoD WW2, you’ll be given a few simple objectives to fulfill, and this will reward you with bonus experience points. One of the earliest objectives is to give a player a commendation. This is a pretty easy one, and you should get it out of the way as soon as you can. Here’s how to commend players in CoD WW2.

To give a player a commendation in the Headquarters social space, all you have to do is walk up to another player, then press and hold the square button (or the X button if you’re playing on Xbox One). This will bring up a social menu on the side of the screen. Select the Commend Player option, and you’ll automatically give that chosen player a commendation. Do note that you can’t commend the same player in CoD WW2 multiple times, however.

If other players choose to commend you, you’ll be notified via the live feed at the bottom left corner of the screen. It’s not clear whether this affects your social score or not, but there’s no harm in giving out free commendations when a player leaves a good impression on you.
