How to Unlock More Automaton Functions in Biomutant

Your automaton is a little grasshopper-looking robot that’s accompanied you since you were a kidling. Initially, it only has a flashlight ability, but it has several other useful functions you can acquire via upgrading it. This includes a Health Injector, Turret, Boost, and the awesome hand glider that allows you to fly across the map.

These other functions are unlocked by ‘beating the Mirage,’ which are mini-quests you will stumble across as you explore the world. You’ll know when you’ve found one because a large friendly-looking mutant creature with a torch lamp will appear and a quest will initiate. It’s essentially a very brief flashback in which you have to face your fears by beating a young warrior into submission. Win or lose, you will get an upgrade point to unlock an Automaton function.

Hopefully, that gives you a good overview of how to unlock more Automaton functions in Biomutant. For more useful tips and tricks for the game, be sure to check out Twinfinite’s guide wiki. Otherwise, you should see some related content below that may prove helpful.
