Playing as Alexios or Kassandra in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the latest entry in Ubisoft‘s open world adventure series. With this game, the developers are doing something a little different by introducing more RPG elements such as dialogue options to help shape your player character. In addition to that, players also have the option of playing as either a male or female. At the start of the game, you’ll get to choose between Alexios or Kassandra, who were siblings back in Ancient Greece. If you’re wondering who you should play, we’re here to break it down for you.

As far as we can tell, choosing either character doesn’t make that much of a difference in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. All of the cutscenes you get in the game, as well as the main quest progression, will play out the same way. It doesn’t matter which character you play as.

What the Main Difference Is Between Alexios and Kassandra

The main difference is that the character models are different when you get flashback cutscenes of the characters’ pasts. But other than that, everything else is more or less the same. With that in mind, you should just play whichever character appeals to you more.

At the end of the day, Alexios and Kassandra will be shaped based on whatever decisions you make while going through the side quests and story missions of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. You’ll also have the exact same romance options open to you, regardless of which gender you pick.

Aside from aesthetic differences and voice actors, you can rest assured that you’ll have a similar experience playing through the game as either character. It’s ultimately down to personal preference.

We personally preferred playing as Kassandra, but you’re not going to miss out on anything whichever you choose.

And that’s pretty much all you need to know about whether to pick Alexios or Kassandra in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Just play whoever you’d like. Be sure to check our Assassin’s Creed Odyssey wiki for more tips and information on the game. We’ve listed some of our top picks below for your convenience.
