15 Weird Pokemon Sun and Moon Pokedex Entries

Aloha's full of weird Pokemon...
Pokemon Sun and Moon, solgaleo, lunala, legendary

Incineroar – Pokemon Sun

“This Pokemon has a violent, selfish disposition. If it’s not in the mood to listen, it will ignore its Trainer’s orders with complete nonchalance.” Why would anyone ever want to use this Pokemon if it’s clearly not going to listen during battle? Yes, Charizard had this mentality too, but that really doesn’t make it any better for those looking to raise the strongest pocket monsters around.

Mismagius – Sun

“It appears as if from nowhere—muttering incantations, placing curses, and giving people terrifying visions.” This is the second Pokemon <– what’s the first? in this game series that just wanders the world placing curses on random people. It also doesn’t help that Mismagius also decides to accompany said curses with scary hallucinations that probably ruin even the toughest trainers day.

Toxapex – Moon

“Those attacked by Toxapex’s poison will suffer intense pain for three days and three nights. Post-recovery, there will be some aftereffects.” What we love about this entry is the fact that there are going to be some aftereffects is just casually added at the end. Given you are subjected to 3 days and nights of incredible pain, we can only wonder what the aftereffects are for victims.

Palossand – Pokemon Moon

“Buried beneath the castle are masses of dried-up bones from those whose vitality it has drained.” Sorry, sorry, sorry, what!? So the adorable sand castle Pokemon it a mass murderer that just parks itself of piles of bones, great. This is why we have trust issues when playing Pokemon

Oranguru – Sun

“Known for its extreme intelligence, this Pokemon will look down on inexperienced Trainers, so it’s best suited to veteran Trainers.” The last thing we need when training a Pokemon is it judging our every decision and move in battle. Thanks Oranguru, but last we checked you are the one in the Pokeball, not us. <– not very extreme a pokedex entry

Charjabug – Sun

“Its body is capable of storing electricity. On camping trips, people are grateful to have one around.” The fact that Charjabug is basically relegated to a generator is pretty depressing. Sure, it doesn’t look cool until it actually evolves, but this seems like a rather cruel fate – even for this game series. <– also super tame. pokedex entries about pokemon capabilities and how humans enjoy them are normal

Decidueye – Moon

“Although basically cool and cautious, when it’s caught by surprise, it’s seized by panic.” Great, so our badass ghost/grass Pokemon can have panic attacks if surprised. Since battling is all about the element of surprise and catching foes off guard, this is not a helpful characteristic for a starter. <– also pretty tame. most things panic when caught by surprise.

Bewear – Pokemon Moon

“This Pokémon has the habit of hugging its companions. Many Trainers have left this world after their spines were squashed by its hug.” So it turns out that the adorable look bear Pokemon has a habit of crushing Trainer’s spines and killing them. We’re starting to think the cutest looking Pokemon in Aloha are the most dangerous to come across.

Mimikyu – Pokemon Sun

“Its actual appearance is unknown. A scholar who saw what was under its rag was overwhelmed by terror and died from the shock.” Mimikyu is a Pokemon that it’s hard to not feel bad for since it needs to hide itself 24/7. However, their ability to kill someone just by looking at them is perhaps for the best, even if it’s mean.

Nihilego – Sun

“One of several mysterious Ultra Beasts. People on the street report observing those infested by it suddenly becoming violent.” So this Pokemon effectively drives people into violent rampages, which only begs the question as to why you’d ever want to own a Nihilego?

Primeape – Sun

“It has been known to become so angry that it dies as a result. Its face looks peaceful in death, however.” While it’s wildly known that Primeapes are perhaps the angriest Pokemon in existence, we never thought they could actually die from it. That must be seriously disappointing if your Primeape up and dies on you mid Trainer battle.

Pyukumuku – Sun

“It lives in shallow seas, such as areas near a beach. It can eject its internal organs, which it uses to engulf its prey or battle enemies.” Winning the award for most disgusting Pokemon is Pyukumuku who’s main hunting tool are its own organs. Lovely.

Froslass – Sun & Moon

“The soul of a woman lost on a snowy mountain possessed an icicle, becoming this Pokemon. The food it most relishes is the souls of men. When it finds humans or Pokemon it likes, it freezes them and takes them to its chilly den, where they become decorations.” So your choices for exploring the mountains of Aloha are either have your soul removed or become a new trophy for a Froslass. Win/win right?

Mandibuzz – Moon

“It circles in the sky, keeping a keen eye out for Pokemon in a weakened state. Its choicest food is Cubone.” Cubone is already dealing with a dead mother, does it really need to have a giant vulture hunting it? Now we understand why Marowak always looks so angry. <— not a super strong entry

Guzzlord – Sun

“It has gobbled mountains and swallowed whole buildings, according to reports. It’s one of the Ultra Beasts.” Sure this is pretty much an interdimensional Pokemon, but that doesn’t make a city eating monster any less scary. Can you imagine if a 10 year old trainer managed to get their hands on this thing?

So four entries need to be replaced with ones more “disturbing.” drifloon has a pretty intense dex entry in moon. there should be other creepy entries to pull from as well.
