Meet the Voice Actors of Marvel’s Avengers’ Voice Cast

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

The Avengers game got its world premiere just the other night, and in addition to a fantastic new bridge-destroying trailer, we got a short glimpse of Marvel’s Avengers voice cast. It’s quite the crew of actors!

To really appreciate the acting talent in Marvel’s Avengers voice cast, we’d like to give you an overview of each actor or actress and what games or TV shows they’ve appeared in before.

Troy Baker – Bruce Banner/Hulk

One of the most prolific video game actors in the industry, Troy Baker’s voice and motion capture performance has appeared in an abundance of video games over the past decade. Some of his most famous roles include Joel from The Last Us, Booker DeWitt from Batman: Arkham Knight, Samuel Drake from Uncharted 4, and Bruce Wayne in Batman: The Telltale Series.

His acting talent has also surfaced in God of War, Guild Wars 2, Spider-Man, Mortal Kombat, Metal Gear Solid V, and a whole host of other video games that would take too long to list here. He’ll also be portraying The Man in The Golden Mask in the upcoming Death Stranding, and of course, Hulk in Marvel’s Avengers.

Nolan North – Iron Man/Tony Stark

Nolan North’s role as one of the Avengers is not undeserved. Another video game acting giant, North has been in a plethora of TV shows, movies and video games since 2001. His most prominent role as a traditional actor is perhaps as Peter Hastings in the teen drama Pretty Little Liars. In the video game industry, however, his most famous role is the light-hearted Nathan Drake from the Uncharted series. North has also made appearances in The Last of Us, God of War, Halo, World of Warcraft, Call of Duty, and dozens and dozens of other games.

Laura Bailey – Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff

Laura Bailey’s pool of acting experience goes way back to the early 90’s as a voice in multiple Dragon Ball Z films. From there, she snagged a number of roles in various anime dubs, including Detective Conan and One Piece.

It wasn’t until the end of the early 00’s that Bailey landed roles from Street Fighter IV, League of Legends, and World of Warcraft. Since then, she’s portrayed Nadine Ross in Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy, Kait Diaz from the Gears of War series. Plus, Avengers is not Bailey’s first super-hero game, as she played Mary Jane Watson in last year’s Spider-Man.

Travis Willingham – Thor

Travis Willingham got his start in the late 90’s with anime such as Detective Conan, Dragon Ball, and a little later, Ghost in The Shell. He expanded to video game roles like Street Fighter’s Guile in 2008, but perhaps his most famous role was the Sonic character Knuckles, which he portrayed in the mainline Sonic games from 2010 to 2018.

Arguably, Willingham’s best performance might be Harvey Dent (Two-Face) from Batman: The Telltale series, but he’s portrayed in a wealth of other games in recent years. These include Kingdom Hearts III, Far Cry 4, SoulCalibur VI, and Spider-Man.

Jeff Schine – Captain America/Steve Rogers

While he may not have quite the same caliber of fame as the others on this list, Jeff Schine has five years of experience in video game voice acting, beginning with 2014’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Since then, some of his most notable roles include Mafia III’s Danny Burke, Call of Duty: WWII’s Frank Aiello, and Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 3’s Javier Garcia. He’s also had a number of other roles as minor extras in games like Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Kingdom Hearts III.
