10 Games With Achievements & Trophies You Won’t Get This Lifetime

Achievements and Trophies have been an integral part of the current generation of systems, bringing together communities and a wealth of knowledge spanning across thousands of games. There is a specific subcategory of Achievement and Trophy hunters that like to obtain everything, making it really frustrating when something is glitched or flat-out unobtainable.

Sadly, there are a ton of games that include unobtainable Achievements and Trophies, ranging from different reasons including server closures, unsupported modes, or patches that unintentionally break the game.

This list will include notable games with unobtainable Achievements and Trophies but will not include sports games, as those are notorious for server closures and would make this list less interesting.

1. Rainbow Six Siege – Who Dares?

The reason this one is so frustrating is because Ubisoft is normally pretty good about keeping their games updated and bug-free. Ironically, a patch is what messed this one up. The Achievement and Trophy?

It’s quite simple. All you have to do is win a specific game mode on a certain map – something that shouldn’t normally be too difficult. However, even after completing the requirements, the trophy just will not unlock. Let’s hope Ubisoft gets this one fixed (and don’t break anything else in the process).

2. Evolve – Instant Artist

Most people know how this game turned out, so it’s no surprise that developer, Turtle Rock abandoned ship shortly after converting Evolve to free-to-play. As it stands, Evolve’s online mode is no longer supported.
Because of that, the ability to meet the requirements for the Instant Artist Achievement and Trophy is no longer available. It’s a shame, too, because all you had to do to is make a badge in the badge creator. Sadly, this one will likely never get patched, which is why this is one of the most annoying unobtainable Achievements and Trophies.

3. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 – Big Leagues

As popular as this game was, there came a time when developer, Treyarch had to move on to other projects. As a result, acquiring the Big Leagues Achievement and Trophy is impossible, since League Play was turned off in Black Ops 2.
To get the Achievement and Trophy, you had to win five multiplayer League Play games after being placed in a division. For some, this may have proved to be a challenge, anyway, but the skilled players will likely be frustrated that this is unobtainable now.

4. Call of Duty Black Ops 3 – Love and War

What’s more frustrating than an unobtainable Achievement and Trophy for a game that isn’t supported anymore? An unobtainable Achievement and Trophy for a game that is *still* supported. Black Ops 3 may be three years old, but Treyarch was still putting out updates as recently as this past July.
As for the Achievement and Trophy, you had to complete the Easter Egg on the Gorod Krovi Zombies map. These Easter Eggs have always been complicated, but now after going through all the steps of completing it, the game freezes, causing the Achievement/Trophy not to pop.

5. Ghostbusters: The Video Game – All Multiplayer

This game had no business being as good as it was. Serving as sort of a sequel to the Ghostbusters films, Ghostbusters: The Video Game was everything you could have wanted and more.
That being said, there are around 10 online Achievements and Trophies that are unobtainable, due to a server closure. It’s understandable, as this game is nearly a decade old, but it’s never fun to be denied those sweet Achievements and Trophies.

6. Rock Band 3 – Live Free or Die

As a long time Rock Band fan, I made sure to grab this Achievement and Trophy right away, back in 2011. The requirements were simple: Just complete all four of the free DLC songs with any instrument.
It sounds simple enough, but due to the expiration of licenses, one of the four songs, Promised Land by Vesuvius, is no longer available to download. If you previously had it downloaded, it will *not* be taken away, so you’ll still be able to grab this one.

7. Destiny 2 – Lest Ye Be Judged

Like many entries on this list, this one is particularly frustrating since the developer is still actively supporting the game. Destiny 2 features a multiplayer event, Trials of the Nine, that is tied to the Lest Ye Be Judged trophy.
The only problem is that Trials of the Nine is currently not an active event, making the trophy unobtainable. Don’t be too upset, though, as this one *is* likely to be fixed, whenever Bungie makes the event active again.

8. Deformers – All Multiplayer

Ready at Dawn, the studio behind The Order: 1886 developed an interesting little game, Deformers in 2017. In short, it was a wacky multiplayer brawler game, aimed towards the more causal gamer.
After its mixed reception, Ready at Dawn decided to close the online servers, just over a year after the initial release. Because of this, most of the Achievement and Trophies are unobtainable, as almost all of them are online-focused.

9. Disney Infinity 3.0 – All Multiplayer

At one time, Toys-to-Life was the hottest thing – getting you to spend hundreds of dollars on tiny figures to access them in-game. With the inclusion of Star Wars, Disney Infinity 3.0 was quite popular.
But, it came almost as quickly as it went and in 2016, Disney slowly began ending support for the Toys-to-Life game. The developer, Avalanche Software (not to be confused with Avalanche Studios) was shut down and as a result, the online Achievements and Trophies are no longer achievable.

10. Grand Theft Auto V (PS3/360) – Run Like the Wind

You’d think the behemoth studio, Rockstar, would have the resources to keep up with the last gen version of their most profitable product ever. Alas, it might be more complicated than it seems. Nonetheless, the PS3/Xbox 360 version of GTA V cannot be completed, due to lack of support.
The Run Like the Wind Achievement and Trophy required you to survive with a bounty on your head in GTA Online. Sadly, Rockstar has disabled bounties on those platforms and it’s unclear if they’ll add them back in later. You can still earn this on current-gen systems.
