Part of the Pokemon GO experience is leveling up your trainer. Doing so will let you catch more powerful Pokemon as well as allow you to further raise the CP of those you already have, so it’s very important for those looking to complete their collections. However, there are other benefits to leveling up. Each time you level up you get a reward, and some levels even unlock new elements of the game to expand your experience.
Below you’ll find exactly what you can expect each time you level up. Keep in mind that the XP requirements near each level aren’t cumulative. Your XP counter resets every time you level up:
Level 1 (1,000 XP)
Level 1 is the base level, so you don’t get anything for this one, but at least you’re on the path to becoming a great Pokemon trainer.
