THE BIG GAME

PS PLUS FREE GAMES FOR NOVEMBER 2017

As October reaches its end with Halloween right around the corner, it’s time to think forward to next month and take a stab at what free games will be included in the PS Plus membership line-up for November 2017. Every month, there is usually one larger game chosen to buff up the list a bit, and we’ve had some pretty great inclusions over the last few months. Most notably was the inclusion of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain for October 2017, which made a lot of PlayStation fans pretty happy.

For November, we suspect Night in the Woods would be a great entry to the list. Although Night in the Woods is technically an indie game from game studio Infinite Fall (you’ll see the indie section for our game’s predictions on page two), it received enough praise and attention since its release last February to be considered a big game release on the PS4.

Night in the Woods is an extremely well-written exploration game wherein you play as Mae Borowski, a 20-year old college dropout who returns back to her small town of Possum Springs to a few mysterious sub-plots including a missing high school friend and figuring out why exactly Mae left her school in the first place. It’s a wonderful game to play in the fall, as its world and art style invoke themes from that season with rich oranges and reds scattered throughout the world along with Halloween actually taking place during the events of the game.

As well, Night in the Woods only released for PS4 and PC. Offering more exclusive game releases is always a surefire way for Sony to make PS Plus members happy.

Check out page two where we go over the possible indie game inclusion for November 2017’s free games list.

INDIES

PS PLUS FREE GAMES FOR NOVEMBER 2017

Along with a bigger and more well-known game, a couple indies always make their way to the PS Plus list for members. One great indie inclusion that has yet to be released on PS Plus is Flinthook from Tribute Games.

In Flinthook you use a grappling hook to move around environments rapidly and shoot enemies while dodging their attacks. It features pixelated art and cutscenes, with fast-paced gameplay that is sure to satisfy players who want more of a challenge in their platforming. Flinthook originally released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 18, 2017.

Another great indie to add to the list would be Snake Pass from Sumo Digital. In Snake Pass you control Noodle the snake as you weave around various objects to make it around levels with your best friend Doodle the hummingbird. Gravity will soon become your worst enemy as you look for ways to leverage your body out of tight spots to collect all the Keystones to save Haven Tor.

Snake Pass also released for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PC, along with PS4 back in March 2017. If we don’t see Snake Pass slither into the free games list next month, then it’s seems likely it should be included sometime soon.

Check out page three for the PSVR game inclusion we feel is a contender for PS Plus November 2017.

PSVR GAME

PS PLUS FREE GAMES FOR NOVEMBER 2017

Often a VR title will also makes its way to the list to boost up Sony’s PSVR platform. PSVR actually just celebrated its first anniversary in October, and some huge discounts on PSVR games were reveled in celebration.

One VR game that would make a valid inclusion to the PS Plus free games line-up is Bloody Zombies from NDREAMS Ltd. In Bloody Zombies you fight hordes of zombie enemies with 1-4 players and choose between survivors with various different skills. On PS4 the visuals are like a side-scroller but on PSVR you can look down at the environment in 3D and see the zombies and survivors move about in a Paper Mario type fashion.

Not only would it continue the spooky fall vibes into November, but it is a PSVR game that is also compatible with PS4 players. Since it is four-person, co-op some of your team could be playing in first-person VR while the rest just use regular controllers and 2D graphics. There is also online and local co-op, and Sony has been know to want to include co-op games in its PS Plus list to encourage more players to download them.
