The official reveal of which free games will be offered on Xbox Games with Gold for March 2020 is right around the corner, and in the meantime we have some predictions as to what those free games might be.

Usually one larger game leads the list, and for next month it seems like Far Cry 3 would be a perfect fit considering Microsoft’s history with Ubisoft.

Tons of Ubisoft games have been offered on Games with Gold in the past, including:

• Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon in November 2016
• Assassin’s Creed: Revelations in April 2017
• Assassin’s Creed III in June 2017
• Watch Dogs in June 2017
• For Honor in August 2018
• Far Cry 2 in January 2019
• Assassin’s Creed Rogue in February 2019, and much more

So it’s not too much of a stretch to suggest another Far Cry title would be chosen by Microsoft to be on Games with Gold sometime soon.

While Far Cry 4 and Far Cry Primal have yet to be included on Games with Gold either, it seems more likely that Far Cry 3 would be offered before any titles in the series that came afterwards.

The Smaller Game – Cars 3: Driven to Win (Xbox 360)

After the AAA game, usually a smaller title makes the list as well.

Microsoft loves to include Disney video games in it’s line-up to the point it’s happening almost every other month as of late. Like Toy Story 3 in December 2019, Disney’s Bolt in October 2019, and Meet the Robinsons in July 2019.

So for next month, it seems likely Microsoft will continue the Disney trend. Thus making Cars 3: Driven to Win a likely free games contender.

The Cars 3 video game released back in 2017, so it’s been a decent chunk of time for it to be considered as a free game option.

Also, it is available on Xbox One and Xbox 360. Considering how Microsoft always offers one free Xbox One and one free Xbox 360 title every month, it will likely opt to offer Cars 3: Driven to Win on Xbox 360 only.

It’s a low risk pick for Microsoft that fits perfectly with what the company has been opting for as of late. If we don’t see the Cars 3 video game next month on Games with Gold, then expect it sometime very soon.
