The Turing Test
The Turing Test is a head-scratching puzzle game that you simply won’t want to put down. With slight Portal undertones, you’ll be tasked with making your way through each individual chamber with the help of a gun that can sap and shoot energy balls into sockets. It’s not a massively long game, but it’s got some truly challenging moments to have you stumped for quite a while.
The Turing Test has 15 achievements worth the typical 1000 points. Why is it so easy? Because 550 of that 1000 is awarded for simply completing the game. The other 450 is split over another bunch of achievements rewarded for completing optional side puzzles. While you’ll get the most enjoyment out of The Turing Test from completing it on your own, you can always use a walkthrough to get the solutions to each room. When all is said and done, you’ll have 1000 Gamerscore in under 10 hours. Not bad at all.
Batman: The Telltale Series
Telltale Games are well known for throwing in an incredibly easy achievement list for each of its episodic titles, and the Batman series is no different. All 30 of the achievements that are split over the series’ five episodes can be unlocked in one playthrough without having to go out of your way for collectibles.
In fact, all you need to do is complete every episode and you’ll get all 1000 Gamerscore that’s on offer here. We also quite like Telltale’s Batman series, too. Nothing quite like getting easy achievements from a great game.
ReCore
Though ReCore might not have lived up to the pre-release hype, it does come with an achievement list that’s not all that taxing. Players control Joules, a human who is accompanied by a team of Corebots as they try to put an end to the hostile robots and make Far Eden safe for humans once more.
While a quick glance at ReCore’s achievement list might seem like it requires you to do a multitude of different things, the fact of the matter is that you’ll undoubtedly do a lot of these simply by playing through the game anyway. By the time the credits roll, you’ll be nearing 700 Gamerscore plus from just a standard playthrough. Spend an extra few hours experimenting with your Corebot configurations, collecting Prismatic Cores, and  finding hardware pickups dotted around the world and you’ll have polished the game off in no time at all. Just, don’t expect an incredible game behind all of those easy achievements.
Titanfall 2
Titanfall 2 is the bigger and badder brother of the original title, offering more content in the game’s multiplayer alongside the single-player experience that fans wanted. And while its story doesn’t always stick its landing, there are plenty of achievements on offer for those willing to role with the punches.
In fact, almost all of Titanfall 2’s achievement list is dedicated to completing the single-player campaign on a range of difficulties, and utilizing a range of different abilities in your arsenal along the way. Though grabbing the full 1000 Gamerscore will require you to play through the campaign a couple of times, as well as a bit of exploration to secure yourself all of the collectibles, simply taking your time and using a guide will have you polishing it off in no time. Just be warned, the achievement requiring you to place in the top three on the Gauntlet scoreboard can take quite some time.
Firewatch
Campo Santo’s Firewatch may have come to the Xbox One a good few months after its PC and PS4 debuts, but the easy difficulty of its achievement list wasn’t altered in the process. Players assume the role of Henry, a fire warden in the Wyoming wilderness as he uncovers the story of dark events that went on in the woods.
As the game is pretty much a walking simulator, there’s not a huge deviation in what you can or cannot do in the game. As such, there are only 10 achievements to be had in Firewatch on Xbox One, half of which are unlocked for simply completing the game. The other five will require you to trigger certain events that you’ll often come across from simply embracing the environment and exploring to your heart’s content. Some of these things will only be available on certain days, however, so you’ll want to use a guide to ensure you don’t miss out on any for a clean single playthrough.
Gone Home
Gone Home may have been out for a good few years on PC and PS4, but 2016 was finally the year that Xbox One owners got a chance to explore this atmospheric, story-driven walking simulator. Gone Home tells the story of a young girl who arrives back at her seemingly vacated family home at night time. From exploring the house, you’ll uncover the events that went on there and learn exactly what’s going on.
Despite nine of Gone Home’s 10 achievements being missable, if you take some time to explore the house and interact with the objects that fill it, you’ll unlock a couple along the way. While there’s one achievement that requires you to complete the game in less than one minute with no modifiers enabled, there are a ton of guides out there to walk you through how to get every one of Gone Home’s achievements. We advise you play through Gone Home once on your own to experience the excellent storytelling before running another couple of times to clean up the rest.
Inside
The spiritual successor to Limbo, Inside is just as obscure and dark. Players are put in control of a young boy seemingly running from something who ends up embroiling himself in some dark goings on in the world. Making your way to the end of Inside will require you to think about how you interact and utilize the environment around you to navigate obstacles and avoid dangers.
Rather than awarding you from simply completing each level and making your way to the end of the game, Inside instead tasks players with finding each of its well-hidden collectibles for all of its achievements. Not only does picking up all of these collectibles fill out the achievement list for you, but you’ll also get a different ending. Play through it once, grab a guide, and pick off the collectibles on a second play through. That way you can see both endings and add another 1000 points to your Gamerscore.
Watch Dogs 2
Watch Dogs 2 ditches the miserable Aiden Pearce and picks up the story of Marcus Holloway as he joins up with the forces of DedSec to bring down ctOS 2.0 that controls the city of San Francisco. One of Watch Dogs 2’s biggest improvements over its predecessor is just how much more alive its world is. Whether it’s NPCs going about their daily business, tricky collectibles to grab, or an abundance of side missions and ways to make use of your hacking skills, it’s easy to forget about the main objective and lose yourself in the world.
In order to persuade people to see everything that Watch Dogs 2’s world has to offer, the achievement list leans heavily into completing these optional missions and activities. Whether it’s taking a photo of a vomiting NPC, completing bike and drone races, or buying all of the apps in the app shop, a lot of Watch Dogs 2’s achievement list can be completed fairly easily. Though you will have to jump online for a couple of the achievements, these won’t take you too long with the help of some friends. Complete the rest of the main missions for an easy 1000 Gamerscore.
Forza Horizon 3
Forza Horizon 3 was one of Xbox One’s biggest exclusives of 2016, and it didn’t fail to deliver. Offering up a huge map of Australia for players to explore, Horizon 3 this time puts you in charge of the festival. From the radio stations you want to sign, the locations you want to set up and upgrade, and the different restrictions and events you put on across the map, it’s all down to you.
Forza Horizon 3 is another game that has a daunting-looking achievement list until you start playing the game. Soon enough, you’ll have been playing for a good few hours and will have made good progress to unlocking a bunch of the ‘collectible’ achievements on offer. While some achievements like Final Boss that requires you to reach level 150 might take some time, there are few achievements that will cause you any real problem in terms of difficulty. If you’re willing to invest the time, Forza Horizon 3 is an easy 1000 points to boost your Gamerscore in 2016.
The Park
Finally, we have the rather mediocre The Park. Assuming the role of Lorraine, a single mother who has lost her son, players must explore an amusement park and reunite the two. As you may have guessed from the image above, things can get a little bit creepy on your quest through the park, but don’t worry, the easy achievements make it all worthwhile.
Many of The Park’s achievements reward you big chunks of Gamerscore for doing simple tasks such as entering and leaving the park, or completing story-related objectives. While there’s a handful that you can miss if you’re not careful, a second trip to the park with the help of a guide will have you picking up the few you may have missed on your first journey around in no time. Even better, the game isn’t very long, either, so you won’t have to sink a bunch of hours into a second playthrough.
