Spoiler Warning!

One of the various collectibles in Resident Evil 7 are the Antique Coins, which can be used to obtain various upgrades throughout the game. However, the number of coins you need to obtain will change based on the difficulty, as the Madhouse difficulty bumps the number of Antique Coins available from 18 to 33. If you want to obtain the Mad Pelicans trophy/achievement then you’ll need every single one. This guide has the location of every single Antique Coin in Resident Evil 7 on Madhouse difficulty.

  • Guest House 1F – To get this Antique Coin, you’ll need to watch the videotape found on the second floor of the Guest House. Once the video begins, have the camera man step back right away and look down. You’ll see a lockpick on the ground, which you can then use on the locked drawer in the kitchen. After you’ve unlocked the drawer in the VHS video, go to it in the present and open it to find your first Antique Coin.
  • Main House 1F – After the dinner scene with The Baker family, wait until they leave and break free of your restraints. Turn right, head into the living room, and pick up the vase on the entertainment center. Inspect this object and look inside it to find the second of the Antique Coins.
  • Garage – After you finish your fight with Jack in the garage, head up the ladder and turn left to find the coin on the shelf.
  • Main House 1F – From the Ox Puzzle Door, open it and enter the large living room. Immediately turn left and head to the drawer in the far corner. Open the top shelf to find the Antique Coin inside.
  • Main House 2F –  Turn around from the drawer you just obtained the last coin from and head up the staircase. Enter the door at the top by the old woman in the wheelchair and walk along the balcony until you reach the first room on your left. Enter and go to the back left corner where the vase is, which has the Antique Coin hiding inside of it.
  • Main House 2F – Head back out onto the porch, and go left until you reach the very end and reenter the Main House. Your next coin can be found directly under a picture frame leaning against the wall in the hallway.
  • Main House 1F – During your travels you will come across a room with a large stuffed deer (Drawing Room) by the door (bottom right corner of the map). Go left from the door to find the next of the Antique Coins inside of the toilet bowl.
  • Main House Basement – From the basement entrance, head down the staircase, through the door, and continue straight down the hallway. Make the first right and then another until you see the first door on your right. Enter the room, go to the tied-up body on the medical table, and you can find the Antique Coin in a bowl underneath the corpse.
  • Main House Basement – Turn directly around from your last Antique Coin’s location and head back out into the hallway. Now go straight, right, through the room with the broken wall, down the staircase, and you’ll find the coin on a small shelf in the corner.
  • Processing Area – At the very bottom of the Processing Area, go up the staircase to the right of the Morgue and enter the first door you come across. On the bottom shelf by the bagged dead body, you will find a coin in a cardboard box.
  • Main House 1F – In the Main Hall go to the Cerberus door, head outside and down the stairs. To your left, you will be able to rip a metal panel off the wall. Head into the crawl space to find an Antique Coin at the very end.

  • Old House 1F – From the Dining Room, head outside and turn left to find the coin in the corner underneath the window.
  • Old House 1F – In the Gallery you can find the coin underneath the table that has a bunch of wooden crates stacked on top of it.
  • Old House 1F – Turn around from your last Antique Coin location and you should see a pedestal. Use the Stone Statue item you’ve acquired and line the shadow up with the image of the spider. Once the door opens, head through the tight corridor until you reach the end. You will see the Antique Coin on the floor near the left wall by the entrance.
  • Old House 2F –  At the Crow Door, unlock it and head inside, making sure to go up the small stairs to your right. Loop around the railing and follow the corridor until you enter another room with a dresser in the back right corner. The next of Resident Evil 7’s Antique Coins will be inside the top drawer.
  • Old House 1F – Once you’re outside again, go to the lamppost by the metal staircase that leads to a catwalk. You can find your next coin on the power box for the lamppost that’s by the stairs.
  • Old House 1F – Eventually in your exploration, you’ll come across an offshoot of the Old House that’s in the top left corner of your map. Inside this building, directly in the middle room, you’ll find a grate that can be dissolved with acid. After you erode the metal bars blocking your path, the next coin will be on a desk directly in front of you.
  • Main House 1F – Back in the Drawing Room you will find a door in the back right corner that requires the crow key. Use this to open it and find another of the Antique Coins inside on some covered equipment.
  • Main House 2F – From the Main Hall, go up the left staircase, through the door and take a left. You will instantly come across the Snake Door, so use the corresponding key and enter the strangely clean room. Pick up the lamp on the table to cause the ladder to drop down and head up into the attic. You’ll find the next of Resident Evil 7’s Antique Coins on a shelf in the back right corner.
  • Testing Area 1F – In the Testing Area’s top left corner you’ll come across a room with big letters scrawled across the wall reading “LET’S.” This will be accompanied by obnoxious blacklights so it’s hard to miss. Just head inside the door to find the next coin behind the large television on the table.
  • Testing Area 2F – Right before you reach the staircase to head downstairs there will be an Antique Coin in a dark section of the hallway on top of a doll’s head.
  • Testing Area 1F – From the last Antique Coin, head down the staircase and go to the very end of the hall. The next of the Resident Evil 7 Antique Coins will be on a mattress in the back right corner.

  • Testing Area 1F – Eventually, you will come across a long hallway with several broken hanging lights and a tripwire at the end. Crouch under the tripwire and head into the room at the far end. Pick up the shotgun shells on the table and open the drawer to find another of the Resident Evil 7 Antique Coins.
  • Testing Area 2F – When you come across a charred body with a sign stapled to his chest, go through the door directly in front of him. You will find another coin on the small wooden shelf jutting out from the wall.
  • Wrecked Ship 1F – After a certain little girl runs from you, head up the stairs and take a right through the double doors. You will find the coin in the washing machine in the far corner of the right wall.
  • Wrecked Ship 4F – From the ship’s bridge go around back and pass through the door by the big 4F sign. Head down the hall, and then go downstairs toward the blocked exit. You’ll find the next of the Resident Evil 7 Antique Coins between the barrels.
  • Wrecked Ship 2F – From the safe room, exit out the door, turn left, and inspect the coin on the small table in the hall.
  • Wrecked Ship 2F – Go directly from the last Antique Coin’s location and continue down the hallway, making a right at the end. Continue down the hallway, go through the double doors, and you can find the next coin inside of a vase in the far back left corner.
  • Wrecked Ship 3F – After you exit the safe room, go across the hallway into the next room and you’ll find a door with a lock that can be dissolved in the back left corner. Keep going down the hallway (half of it will be blown out) until you reach the very end which is where the coin will be located.
  • Wrecked Ship 2F – Take the elevator down to the second floor and head down the long hallway until you reach a room with a large set of metal lockers. Pass through the door by these lockers and you’ll find the coin in the back right corner of the next room.
  • Wrecked Ship 2F – Turn 180 degrees and head down the hallway until you reach a set of double doors. Enter here and follow the path that wraps around via a staircase to the next floor. There will be a bloated Molded waiting for you, so either run by or kill it (we recommend the former).  Go through the next set of doors, head left, and burn the lock off the safe to get the next coin.
  • Wrecked Ship S2 – When you reach this level, continue along the path as you normally would until you reach a poorly-lit room with a hole ripped in the fencing. The Antique Coin will be on a table directly to your right.
  • Swamp – After you duck underneath a broken tree branch, follow the flooded path until you reach the dilapidated shack at the end. Before you continue, you can find the last of Resident Evil 7’s Antique Coins along the banks of the swamp on the right-hand side.
