Yooka Laylee

If you’ve been wanting to take a trip down memory lane (warts and all included) then Yooka-Laylee is certainly a way to do so. The game plays almost exactly like Banjo-Kazooie, and as such, it’s quite an easy game for grabbing achievements.

The game has 1000 Gamerscore split over 35 achievements, meaning even if you don’t grab them all, you’ll still be walking away with a hefty boost to your total all the same. By the time we’d reached the end, we’d collected most of Yooka-Laylee’s achievements. Of course, the trouble comes in how long you’re willing to put into the game. If you’re enthralled by its vibrant worlds, then collecting all of the Pagies and Quills won’t even feel like work.

The rest of Yooka-Laylee’s achievements follow a very similar format. Complete or collect all of a certain challenge and you’ll be given a healthy dose of Gamerscore. Plus, the game isn’t particularly difficult, so that’s always a bonus.

The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Episode 4

Telltale Games treated us to another episode of its A New Frontier series in April. Continuing on the story of Clementine, Javi, and the New Frontier, episode four brought things to boiling point and had a pretty intense finale to boot.

Like with all Telltale episode series now, players can get an easy 1000 Gamerscore for simply playing through the entire series making whatever decisions they like. As such, simply play through all of the chapters of episode four and you’ll be an extra 200 Gamerscore better off from six achievements. Not too shabby at all, eh?

Little Nightmares

Little Nightmares

Little Nightmares puts players in control of Six, a young girl trying to find her way out of the nightmarish world known as the Maw. While navigating the complex world is a challenge in itself, players will also need to hide and evade the large, grotesque creatures that stand in her way. Think Limbo or INSIDE but in 3D with slightly easier platforming puzzles.

Little Nightmares is only a short experience and as such has just 13 achievements. Lucky for achievement hunters, though, they still have the full 1000 Gamerscore value. In fact, the least you’ll be getting from any achievement in Little Nightmares is 50G!

Five of the game’s achievements are awarded for simply completing the game’s chapters, while the others may require you to do or collect certain things along the way. The trickiest achievement comes in the form of Hard to the Core, which requires players to complete a speedrun of the entire game in under an hour without dying. It’ll be tough, sure, but for an hour’s work that 200G sure is tempting.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series Episode 1

Guardians of the Galaxy

Telltale fans got a double dose of the episode action in April 2017 thanks to the debut of the Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy series. Releasing just a few weeks before the second film’s launch, the series puts players in control of the Guardians as they embark on an entirely new adventure. With all the laughs, great music, and action you’d expect from Guardians of the Galaxy, there’s plenty to love in Telltale Games’ latest venture.

Again, episode one will reward you with an achievement every time you complete one of its six chapters. You don’t have to make certain decisions or finish it in a certain way, just play how you like. By the end, you’ll have six more achievements and 200 Gamerscore added to your tally.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, multiplayer

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 continues the series’ trend of offering a number of military missions and giving players the freedom to tackle them as they see fit. They can opt to take their enemies out from a distance with the Sniper, creep by with silenced weapons and evasion, or go in with an assault rifle and grenades and just go nuts. This third iteration, however, sees the series adopt an open world environment, offering more freedom in its gameplay.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 has 47 achievements with a total of 1000 Gamerscore. While this may seem daunting, many of the achievements will just be grabbed naturally while playing through the game. On top of that, if you’re struggling to complete any of the requirements for an achievement, you can just drop the difficulty right down. There are no difficulty-related achievements, so if push comes to shove you can always cheese it.

It’s worth noting, however, that there are a handful of collectibles tied to the game’s achievements. While you can clear these with the help of a guide online, they are time-consuming.
