The extremely popular online multiplayer game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been available on PC via early access since March 2017, but this month it has not only fully released on PC, but is now available on Xbox One as well.

Selling more than 24 million copies since its early access release, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has found immense popularity with its gameplay that drops 100 players into an enclosed area as they collect weapons and resources while killing other players to be the last one standing. With this formula, the game has become very popular for streaming on platforms like Twitch with the game maintaining a peak concurrent player count of over three million on PC, making it the most played game on PC via Steam.

There is no couch co-op, only online multiplayer as you battle it out to get that glorious end game phrase “winner winner chicken dinner” that so few get to see. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds fully released for PC on Dec. 20 and Xbox One on Dec. 12.

Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris (Expansion DLC)

The first expansion for Destiny 2 entitled Curse of Osiris released to players earlier in the month. It’s centered around a previously mentioned warlock and former Vangaurd Osiris who has learned that the hostile war-machine race Vex are gathering on Mercury in huge numbers to amass an attack.

New Mercury locations are included, with a PS4 exclusive Crucible map called Wormhaven releasing as well. No news yet on when this map will make its way to Xbox One and PC players in the future. The power level cap in Destiny 2 was also raised to 330, with new equipment and weapons to collect included.

Like bounties from the original Destiny, special Lost Prophecies are included in the Curse of Osiris expansion and will grant players legendary weapons on a weekly basis. For more on everything new coming in Destiny 2’s first expansion DLC, check out our breakdown here.

Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris arrived on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Dec. 5.

Steep – Road to the Olympics (Expansion)

Steep, Road to the Olympics

Steep released last December, and a year later its Road to the Olympics expansion is heading to PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

In Steep there is a major focus on online multiplayer, as players all share the same world and compete with each other simultaneously in snowboarding, skiing, paragliding, and wing-suit events.

The Road to the Olympics expansion follows a simple narrative where you try and win a series of events to make it onto the winter Olympic team and become the first freestyle athlete to win gold in “Big Air,” “Slopestyle,” and “Halfpipe.” During the story you will also see various real-world interviews from actual winter Olympic athletes, and a new Japanese map offers new challenges and areas to explore. The Road to the Olympics is also a licensed product of the actual 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Steep – Road to the Olympics came to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Dec. 5. For more co-op fun check out our best multiplayer games lists for November and October 2017.
