Headlining Titles for Launch

Nintendo

March 3 will see the official release of Nintendo’s exciting new console, the Switch. If you’re planning on picking up your Switch on launch day, fear not, as you’ll have quite a large selection of games to choose from. While it’s a shame that this wasn’t a pack-in with the console, 1-2 Switch promises co-op and competitive fun for families and friends. The title features more than 20 mini games that you can enjoy with the people around you. If you’re looking to get active, Just Dance 2017 will be available at launch too.

I Am Setsuna, Super Bomberman R, Skylanders, and Snipperclips also round out the console’s big launch lineup rather nicely with some JRPG goodness and relaxing cutesy fun. Oh, and there’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Apparently, that one’s pretty popular.

Check out the major launch games releasing for the Nintendo Switch:

  • Mar. 3 – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • Mar. 3 – 1-2 Switch
  • Mar. 3 – Just Dance 2017
  • Mar. 3 – I Am Setsuna
  • Mar. 3 – Super Bomberman R
  • Mar. 3 – Skylanders: Imaginators
  • Mar. 3 – Snipperclips
  • Mar. 3 – Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove

Indies and the Rest of the Month

The Binding of Isaac

If none of the console’s bigger launch titles really appeal to you all that much, the console will also have a small selection of indie games available that day. The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ will be a good one to pick up, as players will be able to experience tons of additional content on the go, while also escaping the wrath of Isaac’s mom, of course. Human Resource Machine is a puzzle/management game that tasks players with moving objects from one place to another, while trying to figure out the most efficient way to do so.

Near the end of the month, Switch owners will also get to enjoy Has-Been Heroes, a roguelike action game with a great art style and turn-based strategy elements.

Check out the indie launch games releasing for the Nintendo Switch:

  • Mar. 3 – Human Resource Machine
  • Mar. 3 – Little Inferno
  • Mar. 3 – The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+
  • Mar. 3 – World of Goo

And for the rest of the month:

  • Mar. 9 – Blaster Master Zero
  • Mar. 28 – Has-Been Heroes
