Nintendo Switch Game Releases for September 2018

Recommended Videos

After the huge release of Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate in August, September is looking a little quieter for new games on the Nintendo Switch. However, there are still a couple of standouts you’re going to want to look out for if you’re interested in playing more Japanese releases.

The major release for September is, without a doubt, Valkyria Chronicles 4. The game is looking absolutely gorgeous so far, and it brings back the classic tactical RPG gameplay fans have known and loved in the series. This entry follows a completely new squad of characters, and the story is set during the same time period as the events of the first game, so it should give fans a different perspective of the war during that time. The watercolor art style is lovely and timeless, and there’s enough strategic depth here to satisfy players who want a challenge in their games.

Aside from that, Broken Sword 5 will also be making its way to the Switch this month, as well as the brand new story expansion for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Torna – The Golden Country will explore a new kingdom that was destroyed before the events of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and will introduce new Blades and Drivers as well.
