Rules of Survival
Games Like PUBG Mobile
If you’re looking for something as similar to PUBG Mobile as possible, Rules of Survival is for you. Letting you play solo, as a part of a duo, or in a squad, the game starts with up to 300 players on a plane who must parachute onto an 8×8 km island. Scavenging for weapons and equipment, players can use vehicles while trying to stay within a closing circle to remain alive. Players can also purchase crates to unlock cosmetic items for their character. This should all sound very familiar to players of PUBG.
Rules of Survival does have one thing PUBG doesn’t: a zombie mode. This allows players to start the game as super-powered zombies that can jump up to one story and run as fast as a car, but can only use their fists to win the game.
Knives Out
Games Like PUBG Mobile
A bit of a smaller experience than Rules of Survival, Knives Out brings the map size down to 6.4 square km and keeps the player count at 100. With unique geography and architecture like snow capped mountains and train tunnels, players who want some variety in their maps may be drawn toward Knives Out on iOS and Android.
Knives Out and Rules of Survival are both very similar, as they’re both made by NetEase Games, but there are a few differences worth noting. Knives Out has players taking a glider to the ground instead of a parachute, making for a slower descent, and it also offers more customization options for the controls. Due to the lower player count in-game, Knives Out plays at a slower pace as there are fewer combat encounters per game.
Black Survival
Games Like PUBG Mobile
This battle royale game takes a different form than PUBG, but they still have their similarities. Trekking around an island to discover items, Black Survival only pits 10 players against each other, and the gameplay takes the form of a point-and-click adventure with anime graphics.
With a focus on speed and crafting, players search a number of sections of an island for items and each other, with the sections slowly closing off. Players have a lot of crafting recipes to memorize if they want to become great at the game, but the unique take on the battle royale genre and a deep crafting system make this a game worth playing on iOs, Android, or Steam.
Grand Battle Royale: Pixel War
Games Like PUBG Mobile
Custom Minecraft servers were hosting battle royale matches before it was cool, so it’s only right that a mobile take on the genre uses Minecraft-style graphics as well.
Beyond the obvious graphical differences, Grand Battle Royale and PUBG are very similar, even down to the artwork used as the game’s icon, which is very reminiscent of an image used to promote PUBG. Pixel War has players searching for items while walking through war-torn streets and looking out for players looking to kill them. So check it out on iOS or Android if you’re looking for a blockier version of the mobile battle royale experience.
Fortnite
Games Like PUBG Mobile
PUBG’s primary competitor on PC and consoles has been Fortnite, and they’ve also recently come out with a mobile alternative. Not yet available on Android phones, iOS users can download the game to play on the same maps, with the same guns, and the game gameplay as the non-mobile version of the game.
One of the largest things making Fortnite stand out in the battle royale genre is the ability to build structures. Collecting materials from objects around the map, players can reuse these supplies to create their own structures to hide behind, snipe from, or block enemies. Promising weekly updates and new modes to play, Fortnite is worth trying if you have an iPhone.
Survivor Royale
Games Like PUBG Mobile
Survivor Royale is very similar to PUBG, and like Rules of Survival and Knives Out it’s also developed by NetEase Games, but it has a few differences that set it apart. The basic gameplay premise is very reminiscent of PUBG, with up to 100 players duking it out and searching for weapons and equipment after parachuting into a shrinking safe zone on an island. However, Survivor Royale has a unique mode of its own. Another zombie mode, this one is different from Rules of Survival’s, and simply adds zombie NPCs into the game for every player to deal with on their battle royale adventure.
Those interested can play the game on iOS and Android devices.
Garena Free Fire
Best Alternatives to PUBG Mobile
Another realistic take on the battle royale formula, Garena Free Fire has up to 50 players competing in 10-minute matches to be the last one standing. With cosmetic customization options, weapons and equipment hidden away for players to find, vehicles available to drive, and multiple maps to play on.
Form a squad with up to four people and use in-game voice chat as you risk life and limb to collect airdrops and avoid bombing zones while slowly whittling your enemies down. Galena Free Fire can be played on both iOS and Android devices.
