Microsoft
This one seems obvious since Microsoft is a powerhouse in the gaming world and they constantly have new announcements and demos that they would naturally want to show off in a convention setting. Microsoft has a loyal fanbase and they would have no problem getting people to attend. The convention could sell merchandise, show off new console features, and maybe even have developer-themed panels. Plus, their biggest rival Sony has their own convention, PlayStation Experience, which offers a mix of fan and press events. If Sony can have one, then there is no reason for Microsoft to stay out of the action.
Ubisoft
Ubisoft has a large library of games to their name and almost all of them have tons of fans. Between Watch Dogs, Far Cry, The Division, and the Assassin’s Creed franchise, there is a wealth of popular titles that fans would be interested in celebrating and buying merchandise for. Which means that they could benefit from having another opportunity to showcase big announcements and generate some more hype for their games. Each game could have their own panel that both press and fans could attend. Plus, think of all the Assassin’s Creed fans doing parkour in real life.
BioWare
BioWare is mostly known for their work on the Dragon Age series and the Mass Effect franchise. Even though they are mostly known for only those two series, these are big enough to justify a BioWare convention alone. Not to mention their slew of other titles, too. Just imagine if all of the Mass Effect Andromeda news was announced in a panel rather than over the internet. The news would definitely make the audience explode with joy. Plus, if there was enough fan support for BioWare games to justify a theme park attraction, then they can justify a convention for their fans. They could even hold the event every N7 day.
Square Enix
Square Enix is arguably most famous for the Final Fantasy series. Final Fantasy is a big enough IP to justify a convention on its own, but Square has been gaining more fans outside of the JRPG genre with the addition of games such as the Tomb Raider franchise and Life is Strange that there is no reason why Square would not be successful in the convention world. The Square Enix event at San Diego Comic-Con this year was fun and offered unique activities, such as the Lara Croft-themed physical course, and could easily be implemented in a solo Square Enix convention.
Capcom
Capcom has a lot of dedicated fans for their games, which is saying a lot as many of their most popular games have been around for over fifteen years. The Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and Mega Man franchises still have huge followings. Not to mention that this could be a great place to host the annual Capcom Cup, which is considered to be one of the largest fighting game tournaments out there. Since Capcom sponsors the event, it only feels right that they would host it rather than the PlayStation Experience. Capcom deserves to have its own Capcon.
Bethesda
Besthesda is an obvious choice for this list as The Elder Scrolls series and the Fallout series are some of the most popular games of our generation. Their company has built great branding with instantly recognizable characters and merchandise. Since they are such a busy company and tend to always have a great show at E3, they could definitely benefit from having another outlet for news pieces to get some extra hype. Plus it would be fun for fans everywhere to buy some Nuka Cola in person.
Nintendo
Last and certainly not least is Nintendo. This one makes the most sense since they have a wealth of franchises and a console to their name. They also have a huge fanbase that would love to gather once a year and celebrate their favorite Nintendo characters, play demos, and attend panels. Plus, since there are so many franchises that Nintendo is making games for, a convention would be a great place to release information for some of their lesser played series and still garner hype for them.
