How to Get Lion’s Claw in Elden Ring

If you’re a huge Artorias fan from the Dark Souls days, this is an Ash of War you’ll definitely want to check out. Ashes of Wars are basically weapon arts from Dark Souls III, but in Elden Ring, they provide players with more flexibility by letting them equip them to almost any weapon they want. Here’s how to get the Lion’s Claw Ash of War in Elden Ring.

Getting the Lion’s Claw in Elden Ring

Lion’s Claw is an Ash of War that can be obtained as a drop from a Lion Guardian enemy in Caelid. You’ll need to head to Fort Gael in Caelid, which is just south of Rotview Balcony. We’ve indicated its location in the map screenshot down below.

The gate to the Fort itself is locked, so go around the corner and hop onto the tree branch leading to a ledge, where you’ll see a ladder going up.

Once there, you’ll find a Lion Guardian loitering in the area near the front gate. We recommend clearing out the soldiers first before engaging the Lion Guardian as it can be a pretty tricky foe to deal with. After killing it, you’ll automatically receive the Lion’s Claw Ash of War as a reward.

What It Does

This Ash of War can be affixed to almost all melee weapons, including colossal weapons, as long as they’re not unique. The Lion’s Claw allows you to somersault forwards before striking down on the ground with your weapon, which is a move that is very reminiscent of the Knight Artorias boss fight in Dark Souls. It costs 20 FP to use, and also grants the Heavy affinity if you’re looking into making a strength build.

Just like any other Ash of War in the game, you can equip it at a Site of Grace, or by talking to Hewg at the Roundtable Hold.

That’s all you need to know about how to get the Lion’s Claw in Elden Ring. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
