Forgoing to the typical linear format that fans have come to expect from FromSoftware titles, Elden Ring stretches its legs, with a sprawling open-world teeming with secrets, surprises, and of course, a plethora of punishing bosses that require close analysis to learn their attacks and move patterns to conquer. Here’s everything you need to know to redeem Elden Ring preorder DLC bonus gesture and access the digital Adventure Guide, too.

Redeeming & Accessing Preorder DLC Bonus Gesture in Elden Ring

Depending on whether or not you purchased Elden Ring digitally or physically, you might need to redeem a code via the PlayStation or Xbox Stores to unlock ‘The Ring’ gesture.

If you do have a code to redeem, follow the steps below:

  1. Find your preorder DLC code in the box, via email, or on till receipt, depending on how you purchased the game.

    If you preordered a digital copy of the game, you don’t need to worry about finding a code. The DLC will be automatically downloaded alongside the full game install.

  2. Go to the Microsoft Store on Xbox or PlayStation Store on PS4/ PS5 and select the ‘Use a Code’ or ‘Redeem Code’ option.

    Enter the code as is displayed on the slip in the box/ email/ till receipt.

  3. Confirm you want to redeem the preorder bonus DLC for Elden Ring.

  4. Load up the game and you’ll find the ‘Ring’ gesture already in your ‘Gestures’ menu.

Where to Find Elden Ring Adventure Guide

The Adventure Guide is a digital download that can be accessed via your PlayStation or Xbox home screen. It will appear as a ‘game tile’ within your ‘My Games & Apps’ section, or on your home screen, as shown in this screenshot from Reddit user u/chhaylab2.

At the time of writing, it remains unclear just how extensive the Adventure Guide will be. However, we’d expect at least some beginner tips to be outlined to help you get started on your adventure through the Lands Between.
