Modern Warfare’s Haunting of Verdansk event has begun, bringing new modes to the multiplayer and Warzone. The main draw will be Night Mode, which is will see you drop onto a darker and spookier version of Verdansk, with the light of the moon being all that there is to guide you. So that you can jump in to see what it’s like, here’s everything you need to know about how to play Warzone night mode in Modern Warfare.
What Warzone Night Mode is the same map you’re used to, but at night and with some spooky goings-on. As the official site describes, you might encounter, “a ventriloquist doll frequently appears on television sets tuned to defunct channels, and the poltergeist of a chainsaw-wielding killer can be seen and heard across the Krovnik Farmland. Others claim that the defunct tracks near the Train Station are still in use by a ghost train, a vessel filled with souls of those who lost their lives fighting in the Gulag…”
You’ll need to use thermal scopes, the Cold-Blooded perk, and avoid tac lasers if you want to survive. It’ll certainly be a different experience from the usual Warzone games.
How to Play Warzone Night Mode in Modern Warfare
What you’ll need to do first is head to the lobby menu of Warzone. There, you’ll see BR Trick-or-Treat Trios, which is the mode you need to select.
For now, you can only play in trios, with standard daytime Trios being removed, but there’s a chance that other options will be added at a later date, sometime later in the Halloween event.
As usual, the matchmaking process will be with you having to wait to find a game and then drop into Verdansk. As you’ll see, the place is much darker, and you’ll be able to try and collect the Trick-or-Treat loot that’s been added.
