Xbox Games with Gold Predictions

best games 2019

Every month, players with Xbox Live Gold are gifted a few free games through the Xbox Games with Gold platform. While the official list of free games for June 2020 has yet to be released, we have some Games with Gold predictions as to what those free games might be.

For the current month of May 2020, the Xbox Games with Gold free games list consists of V-Rally 4 from May 1 to 31, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr from May 16 to June 15, Sensible World of Soccer from May 1 to 15 and Overlord II from May 16 to 31.

For the Xbox One game inclusion for June 2020, we predict The Division 2 is looking extremely promising for a three reasons.

Firstly, The Division 2 has been going on sale lately for some insanely low prices. While it is currently priced at $29.99 on the Microsoft Store, it has been on sale as recently as February 2020 at 95% off at only $2.99.

At the time of writing, The Division 2 is also on sale on other platforms at super low prices. On the Epic Game Store for PC and Mac it is on sale for $9.89 off of $29.99 but has also been on sale for as low as $3.98 back in February.

Secondly, The Division 2 is developed by Ubisoft and Microsoft has shown itself to be very comfortable with offering Ubisoft games on Games with Gold in the past. This include, but is not limited to:

  • Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon in November 2016
  • Assassin’s Creed: Revelations in April 2017
  • Assassin’s Creed III in June 2017
  • Watch Dogs in June 2017
  • For Honor in August 2018
  • Far Cry 2 in January 2019
  • Assassin’s Creed Rogue in February 2019

Thirdly, The Division 2 recently released a new expansion in February 2020 which likely was the cause behind the massive sale during that same month. The Warlords of New York expansion is normally priced at $29.99 and is on sale at 30% off for only a couple more days until May 18.

It makes sense for Microsoft to offer the base game for free is it means more players will then potentially purchase the expansion pack, which costs the same amount as the base game itself at $29.99.

Xbox 360 Game – Conker Live & Reloaded

Xbox Games with Gold Predictions

After a Xbox One title, usually a smaller Xbox 360 game makes the list as well. This is often an indie title, or a spin-off series inclusion like a Disney or LEGO game.

Based on Microsoft’s choices in the past, our Games with Gold predictions for the Xbox 360 inclusion is Conker Live & Reloaded.

It’s priced at only $9.99, and originally released on Xbox way back in 2005 and came to Xbox 360 through backwards compatibility in 2018. Live and Reloaded is a remake of the original Conker’s Bad Fur Day on the N64 which was considered by many to be one of the best games on that iconic console.

Since Conker’s Bad Fur Day developer Rare was acquired by Microsoft back in 2002, it’s easier for Microsoft to offer those games for free on its own platform.

For example, Rare games that have been offered free on Games with Gold in the past include Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise in November 2014, and Killer Instinct Season 1 Ultra Edition in January 2016 with Season 2 Ultra Edition as well in January 2017.
