Zelda Link’s Awakening is full of different locations such as a graveyard, a vast mountain range, and even a village full of talking animals. But, if you’re trying to figure out how to get to the desert in Link’s Awakening, we’ll be your guide today.
How to Get to Desert in Zelda Link’s Awakening
Getting to the Yarna Desert in Link’s Awakening requires you to do several things before you’re granted access. The actual entrance to the desert is connected to the southern part of Animal Village in the southeastern corner of the map but a sleeping walrus will block your path.
How to Wake the Walrus
To wake this sleeping walrus up, you’re going to have to get the help of Marin, the young girl from Mabe Village who’s usually hanging out outside near the weather vane.
Where is Marin?
But, if you go looking for her in Mabe Village, she won’t be there. Go back to Toronbo Shores where the two of you first met and she will be there waiting for you sitting on a log, and she wants to have a little chat.
Once your little discussion comes to end, Marin will now follow Link to whatever destination that he chooses. Travel back to the sleeping walrus at the entrance of the desert and Marin will sing a song that will wake him up, leaving the entrance to the desert wide open for you to go in.
To sum things up:
- The desert entrance is south of Animal Village in the southeastern section of the island.
- To wake the sleeping walrus, you need to find Marin on Toronbo Shores.
- Take her back to the walrus to wake him up, allowing you to enter the desert.
