Does Fallout 76 Have 21:9 Ultrawide Support? What You Need to Know
Bethesda’s made a rather pretty wasteland in Fallout 76. The world of Appalachia in West Virginia is filled with vibrant colors that make a nice change from the drab greys and browns that we’re accustomed to seeing while slaying Super Mutants. All that being said, it’s no surprise that some PC players may be wondering if Fallout 76 has 21:9 ultrawide support. Well, here’s what you need to know.
Unfortunately, at this moment in time, Fallout 76 doesn’t have 21:9 ultrawide support. While some fans took the matter into their own hands and created (and used) a mod to support the aspect ratio, Bethesda has not provided this officially within the launch version of the game.
It’s not all doom and gloom, however, as Bethesda has announced that 21:9 ultrawide support will come to Fallout 76 as part of a post-launch update.
The news came via a thank-you post over on Reddit for those taking part and providing valuable feedback as part of Fallout 76’s B.E.T.A (Break-it Early Test Application). Surely enough, at the top of the list, Bethesda noted:
“We will support 21:9 post-launch. Once available, or shortly before, we’ll be sure to post our patch notes that let you know when to expect it.”
Unfortunately, there’s been no word on Bethesda just yet as to a narrower window for when 21:9 ultrawide support will hit Fallout 76, but here’s hoping it won’t be too long to wait. We’ll be sure to update this post as and when support for this aspect ratio is added into the game.
