Blackout is a new battle royale mode introduced in CoD Black Ops 4. If you’re just getting started, here are some Blackout tips to help you survive your way to success.
CoD Black Ops 4: Blackout Tips & Tricks
Choose Your Landing Spots Wisely
As with all battle royale games, Blackout in CoD Black Ops 4 also requires you to be careful about where you land when the match starts. Interestingly enough, regardless of which direction the helicopter heads in, your wingsuit usually provides you with enough speed and velocity to get to almost any point in the map when you’re dropping.
As a general rule of thumb, loot can only be found inside buildings, which is why you’ll usually see players flocking towards denser areas. If you’re just starting out in Blackout, it might be better to avoid these areas. Look for more secluded spots with one or two buildings so that you can loot in peace.
Alternatively, there’s no better way to improve your skills in Blackout than by putting yourself through a trial by fire. If you do insist on landing in a crowded zone, sprint for the nearest building and pick up the first weapon you see. This gives you an immediate advantage over your opponents, who might still be getting their bearings.
Another good tip to bear in mind is that it’s also entirely possible to just punch another player to death at the start of the match. If a player gets to a building before you do, you can either run in the opposite direction, or follow them and punch them before they can pick up a weapon to react.
