When the Overwatch Halloween Terror 2018 Event Ends
The Overwatch Halloween Terror 2018 event hasn’t even start yet. However, some players may be wondering exactly when the Halloween Terror 2018 event ends. Here’s everything you need to know.
As we approach the end of October, excitement for Oct. 31 and Halloween starts to ramp up. Unfortunately, as we get closer to the holiday, it is time to start saying goodbye to one of the staples of it: the Overwatch Halloween Terror event.
If you were planning on devouring all of your hard-earned candy with a few rounds of Junkenstein’s Revenge, you may be disappointed, as the Overwatch Halloween Terror 2018 event ends on Oct. 31.
What to Expect in the Overwatch Halloween Terror 2018 Event
As with every Overwatch event, the end of the event means the end of the opportunity to earn the event-exclusive cosmetic items. This includes any Halloween items introduced in the 2018 event or anything returning from prior events.
All of it will be unavailable to earn or purchase beyond Oct. 31 until the next Halloween Terror event.
Once the event is over, you will no longer be able to obtain Halloween loot boxes. Any loot boxes opened after Oct. 31 will only contain regular loot.
With this in mind, it might be a good idea to plan out the time of the event well in order to maximize your chances of gaining all of the Halloween items or any specific piece of Halloween items that you’ve got your eye on.
Best Way to Get Halloween Terror Skins & Cosmetics Fast in Overwatch
The fastest way to nab yourself the Halloween items that you’re after is to purchase loot boxes with real money. The more you purchase at one time, the less money you’ll be spending per box, giving you the highest chances to grab Halloween items.
If you don’t want to spend a penny on loot boxes, however, there are some other great ways to earn them in Overwatch.
Firstly, one loot box is earned upon each career level up, which happens naturally as you play. Simply playing the game awards a decent amount of loot boxes. The more time invested, the more loot boxes earned.
Also, be sure to earn the weekly Arcade loot boxes. Up to three can be earned per week by winning nine Arcade matches. This resets every Tuesday.
If you don’t manage to get that specific Halloween item that you wanted, there’s no need to fear, as everything will return in next year’s Overwatch Halloween Terror event.
It’s not just the exclusive loot items that will be going bye-bye after Oct. 31, the limited-time Arcade mode will also be unavailable to play after the event has finished.
And there you have everything you need to know about the Overwatch Halloween Terror 2018 event, including when it ends and the best ways to get those hot new skins. For more tips, tricks, and information on the game, be sure to check out our Overwatch wiki.
