How to Level Up Fast in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory

Recommended Videos

If there was one single element that seemed to zap a lot of the fun out of the first Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth game, it was the amount of time you had to spend grinding and grinding to no end just to level up Digimon. It felt overwhelmingly redundant at times and there were many times when you felt like you were simply going nowhere fast. That doesn’t necessarily change much in Hacker’s Memory, so you’ll still need to pack your patience this time around. There are, however, a few things to keep in mind if you want to speed up the process a bit.

You’ll want to start by getting your hands on a PlatinumSukamon. This is a particular useful Digimon because his skill, Platinum Service, increases the amount of EXP earned in battle. Perhaps one of the easiest paths to this Digimon is to start with Pabumon and follow the evolution tree to Motimon to Hagurumon and then you’ll end up with the ever so magical PlatinumSukaman. There are other ways to get to PlatinumSukamon, but this is certainly one of the easiest paths to follow. In addition to having PlatinumSukamon, try to add Veemon to your party as well so you can pick up the hacking skill Function Call Lv. 2. This forces encounters with foes, which essentially means more battles will be triggered in areas where encounters are possible.

Next you’ll need to focus on your DigiFarm. If you are familiar with the first game, you probably know where this is going. Place as many Developer Know-Hows on the farm as possible, as this will give a major boost to the quality of items  developed here. Assign a Builder as the leader and place as many Builder Digimon as possible in the farm. This will increase your chances of getting a Tactician USB. Equipping a Digimon with the Tactician USB will boost how much EXP you gain in each battle.

Now make your way to the Mirror Dungeon in the DigiLab and keep fighting your way through the dungeon of your choice. You’ll see your Digimon leveling up pretty quickly and while it still involves some grinding, it will at least drastically cut down on how much time you have to spend.
