How to Use and Aim Your Slinger in Monster Hunter World

Recommended Videos

Monster Hunter World takes players on a brand new hunting experience on the PS4 with enhanced graphics and improved gameplay. Hunters now have better ways to explore vast lands, craft better weapons, and take on new and dangerous monsters. One new addition in the game is the weapon called a Slinger – a weapon that resembles a slingshot that you can use to reach new locations or fling projectiles at enemies.

Players can pick up several small items like nuts and stones they can use for their Slinger, allowing them to distract enemies by creating sounds around the area. In order to use your nifty gadget in Monster Hunter World, take note that you have to sheathe your weapon first (unless you are using the Sword and Shield). Once that’s done, press Circle/B to load any projectiles you have gathered. From there, you can aim the slinger by holding down L2/LT and fire with R2/RT. Make sure to aim carefully so you don’t waste any precious ammo you collected.

Use the Slinger to your advantage when you want to play a bit more defensively or if you need to make a quick getaway. For more tips and tricks on Monster Hunter World, be sure to check out our wiki.
