HOW TO TAME ANIMALS IN ASSASSIN’S CREED ORIGINS

Recommended Videos

For the first time in the series, Assassin’s Creed Origins adds role-playing elements to the gameplay dynamic. Players will be granted a much greater degree of customization options than in previous titles, able to level-up by gaining XP points and learn a host of different abilities via a skill tree. Similar to Ubisoft’s other open-world series, Far Cry, players can also tame animals once they have acquired the necessary skills.

Since animals must be asleep in order to tame them in Assassin’s Creed Origins, first you’ll need to gain enough experience to unlock the “sleeping Darts” skill from the “Seer” section of the tree. Next up, unlock the animal taming ability, which requires three ability points. Once you have acquired both abilities, approach an animal that you want to tame and put it to sleep by pressing the right direction on the d-pad, targeting the animal, and shooting a dart. Now walk up to the animal and press Triangle (PS4) or Y (Xbox One) to tame it. The animal is now tamed and when it awakes, it will follow you around and assist you in combat.

Note that you can only tame animals that are a lower level than you in Assassin’s Creed Origins.

That is all the help you should need to tame animals in Assassin’s Creed Origins. For more on Assassin’s Creed Origins, be sure to check out our wiki.
