Rise and Shine

Rise and Shine released for the Xbox One back in January and started the year off well when it comes to easy achievements. The 1000G on offer is made up of just 14 achievements (with 700G coming from half of them) and none of them pose much of a challenge. Also, the game takes just three hours to finish, so you’ll be able to rack up the gamerscore in one or two sittings.
You can get gamerscore for things such as getting the perfect score on a mini-game or by completing the Golem puzzle without dying from the laser. Beating the game’s Ironman mode and beating the first boss without taking any damage are tough, but with some practice and some careful planning of attacks, you should have all the achievements in a matter of hours.
The Walking Dead: A New Frontier

Telltale’s episodic games don’t only tell great stories, they are also always a great source for easy achievements and the third season of their The Walking Dead series is no exception. A New Frontier introduces a new character, Javier, and you follow his struggles in the zombie infested world alongside series favorite, Clementine.
As is the case with all Telltale games, all you have to do to get all the achievements is finish the game once. There are five episodes, each of which lasts around 90 minutes and they’re all made up of the same number of achievements, split into different gamerscore weights. Simply finish all five episodes and you’ll be 1000G better off.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: A Telltale Series

At the time of writing, only two episodes have been released for Telltale’s new Guardians of the Galaxy series, but as you’d expect, the achievements are just as simple as they are in every one of their other titles. In the game, you follow the characters you have come to know from the Chris Pratt fronted Marvel movies as they undertake another mission in space.
The achievements take the same structure as the other Telltale games. The amount of gamerscore you’re given increases as you get through each chapter, with you getting all 1000G on offer by finishing the game once.
Cars 3: Driven to Win

The movie tie-in of Cars 3 is probably a game you haven’t heard much about until now. It has been developed by Avalanche Software and, while it is a rather basic kids racer, it is quite fun. The racing is track based and borrows from the likes of Crash Team Racing and Mario Kart by throwing in weapons and obstacles. Also, as you’d expect from a movie tie-in or a kids game, the trophy list is wonderfully easy and short.
The list features 22 achievements, making up that 1000G and all the requirements are pretty easy. As you’d expect from a racing game, there will be quite a lot of repetition, but if you enjoy fun, combat-based racing, you’ll complete it in no time. Also, all the achievements reward you with between 30 and 90 gamerscore, so even if you don’t get all of them, you’ll boost your overall score significantly.
Rime

Looking through Rime’s achievement list in search of a quick and easy gamerscore boost will probably terrify you with the vague, riddle-like descriptions but, don’t be fooled, the list is actually quite simple. As you explore the world as the shipwrecked young boy, solving puzzles as you go, you’ll unlock a host of achievements.
There are 31 achievements in the game and many of them simply require you to do quick and easy things on the way, such as throwing an item as far as you can, or interacting with certain statues whenever you see them. You unlock most of them organically as you play and any you miss can be cleared up easily with the use of a guide.
Seasons After Fall

Seasons After Fall finally released on Xbox One this May after being on PC for some time. The game is a 2D puzzle platformer in which you take control of a wild fox who has the ability to change the seasons at will. This core mechanic gives variety to both the visuals and the puzzles.
The achievement list is also very simple, even if it does include one that is collectible based. The majority of them are story based and are picked up along the way, and the collectible achievement is nothing to worry about. The game guides you to most of them, and they are easy to spot, but if you miss any there are plenty of guides available to help you find those ones that slipped through the cracks.
This Is The Police

This Is The Police is a management sim that sees players attempt to control a task force as Police Chief Jack Boyd. You’ll have to make the right decisions for the force, engage in some dodgy dealings with criminals, and keep the city safe throughout the game.
There is 1000 gamerscore, split over 10 100G achievements on Xbox One. Some require you to complete challenges in particular ways, but you’ll get 500G by simply progressing through the game. The rest of them are relatively straightforward, too. Don’t react to any false alarms, respond to all legitimate calls, and beat the game without using the Paddy Wagon will all net you 100G. It’s a simple, fun game that will see you quickly rack up a great amount of gamerscore.
Black &Â White Bushido

Black &Â White Bushido is another game you may not have heard of until now, but it’s a great multiplayer game with an ingenious core mechanic. It initially came to Steam in 2015 but it made its way to consoles earlier this year. Four players, split across two teams, choose between representing the black team or the white team and face off in standard sword-based fighting in small arenas. However, how the game plays out is changed by the color of the background. With sections of the arena switching between white and black, characters blend in with the color that matches their own, making them impossible to spot. It adds a tactical edge to what would otherwise be a simple multiplayer game.
Also, the achievement list is one of the easiest of the year so far. For example, you are awarded 100G for ‘clashing with an enemy in the air 10 times’, which is something that will happen far more than that in a single match. You’ll be able to get all 1000G that is on offer in under an hour, as long as you have four controllers for the four-player match achievement.
Tekken 7

Fighting games tend to have tough achievement lists due to certain ones that require a huge amount of online play or playing on high difficulties. If you aren’t a seasoned fighter, or aren’t used to the specific style of the game, you usually have no chance of getting all the achievements on offer. However, Tekken 7 bucks this trend and features an achievement list that should prove manageable for almost anyone.
Of the 42 achievements, just four of them require online play and many of the remainder can be unlocked through practice mode play. Also, even though a couple of the fights are quite tough, there are no difficulty based trophies. You need to play through the story, complete a few of the extra character episodes, use practice to fill out checklists, and then have a friend play through some online with you. In a few days you’ll have all 1000G on offer.
The Town of Light

The Town of Light is similar to games such as Gone Home and What Remains of Edith Finch in terms of gameplay and structure. You explore the abandoned Tuscan asylum in search of answers about what happened to Renee when she was there in the 1940s. It’s a slow-moving experience that focuses on the narrative and the mysterious setting.
Thankfully, the achievement list is also straightforward. Since the game is quite short and story focused, there aren’t many actions that the developers can link to achievements. That means that most of the achievements award you with a decent amount of gamerscore and can be gained easily. Playing through the game once will unlock half of them, or possibly more if you search for the small number of collectibles. Then playing it one or two more times, not necessarily in its entirety, will unlock the rest. You’ll be able to get them all in less than five hours.
