April 2017 Video Game Releases
(Week One: 4/2 – 4/8)
April 2017 is kicking things off strong with one of the highest rated games of the year, Persona 5. This JRPG is back with an even more stylized approach, slick combat, mysterious worlds, and a new cast of characters for you to become best friends with. It’s a PlayStation exclusive so if you have a PS3 or PS4, be sure to keep an eye out for this one.
If you don’t have a PS4, there are some other games releasing this week to satiate your gaming appetite including a remaster of Bulletstorm – an extremely fun shooter that keeps the action going. Check out week one’s releases:
- Apr. 3 – Domina (PC)
- Apr. 4 – Blackwood Crossing (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
- Apr. 4 – Persona 5 (PS4, PS3)
- Apr. 5 – Ira (PC)
- Apr. 7 – Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
- Apr. 7 – Don’t Think Twice (Vive, Rift)
April 2017 Video Game Releases
(Week Two: 4/9 – 4/15)
Week two is very light on game releases, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing out there worth playing. The star of this week is going to be Yooka-Laylee, a collect-a-thon with two adorable animals as your protagonists and all of the colorful magic you’d expect Rare to produce in the ’90s. That’s because this game is being brought to us by Playtonic Games – a developer comprised of many of the people who actually worked at Rare during those golden years and helped to bring us the classic Banjo-Kazooie. You may definitely want to keep this one on your radar.
Here’re week two’s offerings:
- Apr. 11 – Yooka-Laylee (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
- Apr. 12 – The Sexy Brutale (Xbox One, PS4, PC)
- Apr. 13 – Calm Waters (PC, Mac)

Telltale’s take on Guardians of the Galaxy kicks things off on the 18th, and if their other episodic projects are anything to go by, then this is going to be both engaging and hilarious.
This is how week three’s schedule looks:

- Apr. 18 – Voodoo Vince: Remastered (Xbox One, PC)
