Is Garrus in Mass Effect Andromeda?

Recommended Videos

BioWare is making a grand return to their Mass Effect series with Andromeda, a new story starring a new cast and an entirely new piece of the universe. But if you’re a fan of the original trilogy, you may be wonder if Garrus makes an appearance in this new title.

Well, sad news for all you Turian fans. Garrus won’t be callibrating on this adventure, mostly because of the main premise of the story. Mass Effect Andromeda takes place in a galaxy light years away from the Milky Way, and hundreds of years in the future. On top of that, BioWare has stated that Andromeda is the start of a completely new adventure, and that they won’t be lagging behind in their original trilogy here.

So to summarize. It’s kind of physically impossible for Garrus to show up in Mass Effect Andromeda. Unless he became immortal, or joined the Andromeda Initiative (which he did not.)

Will you be missing this Turian come the new Mass Effect game? Let us know which character you’d want to return in the comments below, and for more info on Andromeda, be sure to check out our ever-growing wiki.
