When creating a new character in any RPG, all the detail in the world can be killed if you don’t put the perfect hairstyle on your hero. Thankfully, Mass Effect Andromeda offers a decent selection of hairstyles for each gender, all of which can be colored to your liking so you can really stand out when you visit that hostile, alien planet for the first time (it’s more fun to give enemies a clear target, you know?).

First up are the females who have 12 different styles on offer. They’re pretty varied, and there are even a couple of options with pony tails (a personal fave).

Of course, male Ryder is allowed to look fashionable as well. After all, the sister can’t be the only one carrying all the good genes. We must admit though, some of the male styles leave a bit to be desired, but not too shabby overall.

The males also have a few more options thanks to facial hair. 

Mass Effect Andromeda Facial Hair

These options are only available to those customizing a male Ryder. The facial hair you choose cannot be further customized, though. The color will automatically match whatever you choose for the head.
