Where to Find Allays in Minecraft

You can find Allays in two specific places: Pillager Outposts and the Woodland Mansion. Players will have to search around the map to see these buildings. If you want a more straightforward process, use the ‘/locate’ command and type in ‘mansion’ or ‘pillageroutpost.’ This technique provides you with coordinates to these landmarks; this way, you’ll have a set target in mind.

Once you get to either of these locations, you’ll have to search for a jail that traps the creatures. For example, a Pillager Outpost entraps Allays within a dark-oak cage, as shown here:

Players can use an Axe to dismantle the cage and free the creatures. As for the Woodland Mansion, you’ll need to inspect each room thoroughly to find the Allays. You should come across them once you find a smaller room with an Iron Door.

Since the building is massive, you can also use your sense of hearing to pinpoint its location. Listen closely, and you’ll be able to hear the creature’s high-pitch sounds to aid you in your search.

Sometimes you can get lucky enough to find a horde of them in multiple cells. To help the creatures escape, find a lever to open the door or break the Cobblestone with a Pickaxe.

How to Tame Allays in Minecraft

Now that you’ve freed the Allays, it’s time to tame them. First, grab any item within your inventory and hand it over to the creature. This item doesn’t have to be anything in particular: a stick, flower, etc. Once you do this, the Allay will follow you wherever you go while holding onto the item you have given them.

Now that you’ve tamed them, you won’t be able to harm them since you are their owner. However, you’ll still have to keep the Allay safe by guarding it against enemies and avoiding water (Allays can’t enter the water). If you don’t want it to follow you anymore, empty your character’s hand and remove the creature’s item.
