How to Turn Into a Werewolf in The Sims 4

There are four ways within the typical gameplay that you can turn a Sim into a Werewolf in The Sims 4. These are:

  1. Create a Werewolf in Create-a-Sim
  2. Get Attacked by a Werewolf
  3. Ask a Werewolf to Bite You
  4. Be the child of two Werewolf parents

Create-a-Sim Method

If you don’t mind creating an entirely new Sim, then you can simply select the Werewolfism occult trait in the CAS. This is by far the easiest way to immediately give yourself a Werewolf sim in The Sims 4.

Get Attacked by a Werewolf

It’s possible that a Sim that is already a Werewolf can attack your innocent Sim as they go about their daily business. If they bite you during this, your Sim will contract Werebies. Leave it long enough and they’ll get the Werewolfism trait.

If you’re not ready for them to turn into a Werewolf, you can head over to Grimtooth Bar and get the Werebies Remedy. This needs to be used while it’s still just the Werebies disease, though. If you leave it too long, the remedy won’t work.

Ask a Werewolf to Give You a ‘Cursed Bite’

If you already have a Sim that’s a Werewolf, and you want to pass it onto another one of your characters, go ahead and have them speak to the lycanthrope.

When you do, you’ll find an option to have them bite you. This does require the Werewolf to have the ‘Cursed Bite’ ability and a good relationship with the Sim that’s asking. You can check out our Sims 4 relationship cheats, should you need a helping hand achieving that.

After they’ve been bitten, your Sim will go through four different stages of contraction, and after this, they’ll then have the Werewolfism trait and can howl at the moon with their fellow lycanthrope buddies.

Have Two Werewolves Have a Baby

If you have two Sims that have the Werewolfism trait, you can make them woohoo and you’ll have a baby that is guaranteed to also be a werewolf.

If only one of your Sims has the trait, then the baby has a 50% chance of being a werewolf. You won’t immediately know if the baby has it, though, as they only start showing… wolf-like tendencies when they’re in their toddler stage. Even then, they won’t have access to all the werewolf abilities, though. These will only become available once they turn into a teenager.

We’ve got a guide on how to age up Sims in The Sims 4 if you don’t fancy waiting around.

The Sims 4 Werewolf Cheat

Alternatively, if you can’t be bothered with all of that, you can always just use a good ol’ fashioned cheat.

Once you’ve enabled cheats using ‘testingcheats true’, then simply enter the following into the command box:

  • traits.equip_trait trait_occultwerewolf

This will give your Sim the werewolf trait, allowing them to turn into a Werewolf without the need for tracking down existing werewolves to be bitten or attacked by… or waiting for two werewolves to do the dirty deed.

The Fury Stage of Becoming a Werewolf

It’s worth noting that the first time your Sim becomes a Werewolf, they’ll need to deal with ‘Fury’ for the first time. This is essentially a rage that can overwhelm your Sim and will cause them to do very… werewolfy, bestial things, like going on mindless, violent rampages.

Werewolf Fury

Fury is something that will continually plague your Werewolf Sims’ lives, so make sure to read our explainer on what Fury is in The Sims 4 Werewolves.
