Each of these Grapple Stops will have one guaranteed Grapple Glove, and have the chance of also containing two additional Grapple Gloves, too.

Point at the object you want to grapple onto and then press and hold the ‘Shoot’ button. This is RT on Xbox, R2 on PlayStation, R on Switch and LMB on PC.

You’ll then swing through the air and can let go of the Shoot button at any time to ungrapple from the object. While you’re in the air, you can then grapple to another object and chain swings together.

Each successive swing gets fast until the third swing and beyond, at this point you’ll be at max speed.

If you miss a shot and land on the ground, you’ll have a brief window of time to shoot the grappling hook and start swinging again. If you slide out of a swing, this window will be longer, so make sure to combine slides in to travel further, faster.

The Grapple Glove only has 10 uses in the Arena playlist and 30 in all other game modes and has a cooldown after landing.

When Do Grapple Gloves Go Live in Fortnite?

The Grapple Glove is now available in all game modes in Fortnite including the competitive Arena playlists, and Zero Build. There are limited gloves in each game, though, so make sure you’re heading to the Grapple Stops straight away to give yourself the best chance of grabbing one.
