Today marks the start of week five of the Resistance questline in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2. As we did last week, we’re here to cover every week five quest. We’ll be starting with where to plant wiretaps in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2.
As this is once again a Resistance quest, before we get into the actual Wiretaps part of the quest, we have to settle the opening objective first. This time, we’ll have to “Establish Device Uplink near Command Cavern, the Fortress, or Loot Lake.”
You can see every location on the map below. We are going to continue this quest from Loot Lake as the Fortress has some tough IO Forces and Command Cavern is a pretty popular drop.
Where to Plant Wiretaps in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2
You’ll need to touch the hologram audio log found here on the island for the “Plant Wiretaps to monitor IO communications” quest to begin.
Here are the locations you’ll be needing to plant the Wiretaps at and there are three of them you’ll have to plant.
Command Cavern Wiretap Plant Location
This Fortnite Wiretap location is on the outside of Command Cavern, so you won’t need to worry about battling IO forces to get to it. You’ll be aiming for the large red tower on the west side of the mountain that houses Command Cavern. Once you are at the antenna you can easily find the Wiretap planting spot.
The Fortress Wiretap Plant Location
The Fortress isn’t an easy place to visit in general, but it doesn’t help this Wiretap is very exposed. You’ll want to run up to the ramp and grab this one and keep running as you will certainly be shot at when approaching this area.
Loot Lake Wiretap Plant Location
This one is just east of the hologram audio log you had to interact with to start this quest. You’ll find it at the IO building. This Wiretap is quite visible on the east side of the building.
