Scoring Volleys in FIFA 22

To volley in FIFA 22, simply press Circle on PS4/ PS5 or B on Xbox One/ Xbox Series X|S when the ball is in the air and near to your player.

The best way of doing this is to perform a cross by pressing Square/ X into or around the edge of the box. As the ball is coming to your player, press and hold Circle/ B and use your left analog stick to aim your volley on goal. Let go of Circle/ B when you’ve got enough power on your volley.

It’s worth keeping in mind a few things when volleying in FIFA 22. The first is to put less power on it than you think.

The more power you put on a volley, the more chance of you skying it high over the bar. Plus, the momentum of the ball traveling through the air already adds some power compared to a normal shot off the ground, so less power won’t necessarily mean a weak volley.

Finally, if you’re looking to complete one of the Ultimate Team objectives that requires you to score volleys, remember you cannot let the ball bounce in-between the cross and the volley. It must be first-time, otherwise you’ll perform a half-volley and it won’t count.

That’s everything you need to know to score volleys in FIFA 22. Looking for more guides? Head on over to our FIFA 22 wiki.
