Sprint and Run Faster in Resident Evil Village

Sprinting and running faster in Resident Evil Village works pretty much the same way as any other modern video game. All you have to do is click on the left stick to hit the L3 button and Ethan will start running faster. In addition to that, this game doesn’t employ any sort of stamina system either, so you can sprint almost indefinitely.

This is extremely useful for situations where you need to put some distance between your and your enemies, and make a quick getaway so you can recover. That being said, though, Ethan’s sprinting speed isn’t that much faster from his regular running speed and enemies might still be able to catch up to you if they’re fast enough. With that in mind, you shouldn’t rely too much on your sprint to get away from enemies completely unless you’re near another zone.

Instead, sprint away to get out of reach so that you can heal up and re-engage your enemies in a fight if you need to. Don’t forget to hit the L1 or LB button to guard as well to reduce the amount of damage taken. This should significantly improve your chances of survival, and reduce the number of first aid meds you’d have to use otherwise.

After clearing Castle Dimitrescu, you will be able to improve your running speed by bringing ingredients to the Duke to cook up a dish, but before that, you’ll have to made do with the slower speed.

That’s all you need to know about how to sprint and run faster in Resident Evil Village. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
